So tell me, what specific plays is he going to call that he can't because of our line? Jake called the same plays this season with a horrible line as he did last season with a great line.
Anything that takes more than .8 seconds to develop for starters. If I recall correctly, he called FAR less perimeter passes last season. He has his faults, no question. I just think he deserves one more year to prove himself when the OL has had a little more time to develop.
That's pretty interesting info, considering the OL situation and that we probably played against much tougher defenses. We just didn't do well in the red zone. CMB's fault or just a lack of execution?My reasoning is this.
2013 UT had about 4000 yards on offense with a very experienced NFL talented OL.
2014 UT had about 4000 yards on offense despite the most horrific OL play in years.
When I consider that, CMB may not have done a bad job as far as offensive play calling goes in 2014. JMO
