Raise your hand if you think we can beat UF next year or if McElwain continues the streak and the succession of coaches to carry that flame.

So tell me, what specific plays is he going to call that he can't because of our line? Jake called the same plays this season with a horrible line as he did last season with a great line.

Anything that takes more than .8 seconds to develop for starters. If I recall correctly, he called FAR less perimeter passes last season. He has his faults, no question. I just think he deserves one more year to prove himself when the OL has had a little more time to develop.

I took a nap (work tonight) awoke to this news! My faith in Hart is stronger now.

I want many of you to negotiate my next contract.

Hubbs just said Butch will get a $300,000 salary pool to be divided up between the 8 assistants.

I would do:

Strip: 75k

Thig: 75k

Jancek: 75k

Elder: 25k

ZA: 25k

Willie: 24,995

Jake: $5 footlong from subway

Mahoney:

Rofl.

If these numbers are accurate, my faith in Butch is stronger too.

He could have fleeced the heck out of Hart. He had him right where he wanted him. I feel better about the situation as a whole now.

Not true. We actually called more perimeter passes last year. All last season people complained about us not using quick slants, TE seam passes, etc... We attempted more passes over the middle this season than before. Ultimately, it wasn't that big of a difference. The playcalling both seasons has been about the same. But we've thrown inside more this season than last. My point is Bajakian didn't adjust the gameplans to compensate for poor blocking.

If I had seen adjustments from last season to this season I'd agree. But he's basically called the same offense no matter what the personnel was, the playcalling and gameplans were inconsistent at best, and there was very little playcalling to maximize talent/mask weaknesses. That is this season and last. That tells me something.

K mac on sportstalk. He's a very confident kid. Very entertaining. Wish he was an EE. Can't wait till he's busting heads next fall.

My reasoning is this.

2013 UT had about 4000 yards on offense with a very experienced NFL talented OL.

2014 UT had about 4000 yards on offense despite the most horrific OL play in years.

When I consider that, CMB may not have done a bad job as far as offensive play calling goes in 2014. JMO
That's pretty interesting info, considering the OL situation and that we probably played against much tougher defenses. We just didn't do well in the red zone. CMB's fault or just a lack of execution?

That's what I am saying.

Imagine if Hart had given CBJ the 4 million some on here would have then went 6-6 next year. "That dang Hart should be fired for giving this guy 4 million a year"!
