She's making progress but still has a ways to go to fully recover.

She was just supposed to have a colostomy reversal but it failed & she was septic..then after that she developed double pneumonia , ARDS, collapsed lung, had heart failure & a mini stroke all on top of each other which turned into a 3 week ICU & month long hospitsl stay. Was kind of a freak series of unfortunate events & they said multiple times she might not make it but by the Grace of God she's here today. Thanks for asking!

No problem. I hope you and your family have a blessed holiday season. :hi:

Just want to say this is my favorite thread. I joined up in the Gruden fun and then almost quit this site all together a few months later because I thought the FF was all there was and I got tired of the insanity.

You guys are a lot of fun to read and discuss with, and you have a (fairly) new RF convert in me. I've enjoyed the nation a lot more since I discovered this gem a few months ago. :hi:

A lot like my situation.

I joined before the Gruden debacle, but half my posts are from that era. Was a lot of fun. Was sort of lost until I found the RF. I post rarely, but I'm on here at least a couple hours a day. I feel I know you guys (and few gals). I appreciate this "community."

And so it begins...

UAB running back Jordan Howard is taking an official visit to Indiana this weekend as 247Sports.com first-reported Thursday evening.

Howard said Louisville, Wisconsin, Western Kentucky, Marshall, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Southern Miss, Kansas and Nevada have also offered.

He is going you do a lot better than those teams.

Hubbs just said Butch will get a $300,000 salary pool to be divided up between the 8 assistants.

I would do:

Strip: 75k

Thig: 75k

Jancek: 75k

Elder: 25k

ZA: 25k

Willie: 24,995

Jake: $5 footlong from subway

Mahoney:

No raise for Gillespie?

Good points. But we still owe Dooley $2.5M, payable in monthly installments for the next two years. We have other debt service, as well. UT is not broke-- and will not be-- but the UTAD is paying the price for foolish spending.

As far as what Butch is worth, he may or may not be a good investment at $4M. Is he worth more than Gary Patterson and Jimbo Fisher? Twice as much as Mark Helfrich? They got their teams to the playoffs and we barely got to a bowl. I just think a huge bump for an unproven coach, not tied to performance, begs questions and invites concern. Others don't, and that's cool. Differences of opinions can teach us all something.

Chaps my a$$ that we still are paying Dooley money. They should make Hamilton pay that out of his own pocket.

I'm not sure how you guys can call for Mahoney head when he had a doofus calling plays paired with just not having good players talent wise.

My reasoning is this.

2013 UT had about 4000 yards on offense with a very experienced NFL talented OL.

2014 UT had about 4000 yards on offense despite the most horrific OL play in years.

When I consider that, CMB may not have done a bad job as far as offensive play calling goes in 2014. JMO

Last year's offensive line+this year's offensive weapons and we would have won the SEC East.

I notice everyone is quick to point out the injuries on the OL and give CDM a pass while calling for CMB's head. Worley, Hurd, Lane, DY, Smith, North, Pearson, TE's, the OL, there were injuries all over the offense. Yet They still put up over 4000 yards. IMO it point to CMB doing a very good job despite those issues. OL can't block ANYONE, CMB still figured a way to gain yards and score points.

I haven't hidden my lack of enthusiasm for Bajakian or Mahoney. 2015 is show me the Mahoney Jack

The OL couldn't even get in the way. Any stunt and they were toast.

There were times when it looked as if they thought it was a drill and the ends weren't real. Many times they would be setting their hands to block and the guy was already past them.

Even though his available plays are extremely limited because of the porous line? Interesting.

So tell me, what specific plays is he going to call that he can't because of our line? Jake called the same plays this season with a horrible line as he did last season with a great line.

There is no more obvious weak link on the coaching staff than Bajakian. Mahoney had absolutely nothing to work with this year, so I don't see how anyone can criticize him, just because he's not Pittman. Outside of a couple of games against lesser opponents, Bajakian continually confounds me with his playcalling from week to week and has cost Tennessee numerous scores over the last two years.

2 straight years of not recruiting HS OTs named Jimmy or Joe sealed it for me on Mahoney.

Can't argue with that. It's my biggest issue with him is you have clear playing opportunity and still can't close the deal so Butch has to step in and take charge of recruitment
