IF...IF...something happened with CBJ, this would be another great option IMO. UT is already more less set up for RR's style of play and he has proven to be a great coach at AZ.

I agree he has to be given a small bump in pay. Even though the wins have not come, recruiting and the roster have been improved a lot. (250,000.00 IMO). Plus 10% for all the assistants(anywhere from 30,000-65,000 each).

Yep. This is the first call Hart should make. The only real blemish on RRs resume is Michigan, and it's hard to call it that when he didn't have enough time, and thinks were on the uptick when he left. Maybe an added bonus? Khalil's runner up was Arizona, so maybe it would be easy to keep him in the fold. He is the Wharton of this class, after all.

Man, after watching some videos I gotta say I really don't hate Jim McElwain. He just seems like a really calm, competent professional. I don't know if he's ever done time in the league, but he has NFL written all over him.

If I'm Dave Hart, it would be very hard for me to give the man 750,000.00 for going 5-7 and 6-6. Yes, stability is important but bumping someone's pay like that for mediocre results just sets you up to have to over pay again next year if he wins 8-9.

3 million dollars for a 6-6 season would have most coaches fired. Ask Bo Pelini what happened there.

IMO Hart would be making a mistake paying for results that have not come yet.

Rich Rod has a retention incentive in his contract for a limited partnership in oil and gas currently worth 6 mil plus now and most likely to increase in value and he will be able to cash out in full if he stays until 2019.

Sean Miller (MBB coach has same deal).

He stayin' at Zona.

Good info, thanks. It did seem odd he was only making 1.5 million a year with his resume.

Florida is a top 5 job. They SHOULD pay their coach more.

Can't help that Kentucky re-negotiated midway through the season. That's on them.

Now that's some interesting lawyering. Nice work by the UA AD and their attorneys to make full use of non-liquid (but still technically liquid, if yanno what I mean) assets.

I agree. UK tosses 5 million a year at Stoops for making a bowl game in 2015, I'd hope Hart would not bump CBJ to 6 million for winning 7. SMH
