'15 IN LB Darrin Kirkland Jr (UT Commit 12/15/14)

No insider or anything like that but stayed at holiday inn downtown and Kirkland was here, after the game went to the bar here and saw his parents along with Jancek and Thig talking... Got a chance to talk with his folks, they loved it here.. I told Jancek to seal the deal at the bar last night he said no worries he's ours.. Jus some stupid info.. Carry on

Let me get this straight. You approached coaches and a recruit's parents during a private conversation at a hotel, and then the coaches shared privileged information with you? Not only that, but you could reliably identify the parents of a recruit socially.

This is either the creepiest thing I've potentially ever heard, or it's just complete garbage.

Let me get this straight.. Was it really creepy we were staying on the same floor with his parents and met them in the elevator and they said something to me and my friend..then after the game went to the bar and the coaches were down there talking with dudes parents.. So what creepyness was there?
Or was that complete garbage?

You sound sensitive to the fact that anyone would dare question the validity of such an outlandish story. Of course I am skeptical; the whole thing seems like a ploy to garner post likes. I don't believe everything I read. Judging by your inability to spell words and use correct punctuation, it only gave credence to my suspicions.

I don't consider myself "stuck up." I was just curious. If this were any other medium (like a news interview or Reddit), of course the follow-up question would be regarding how this situation even happened. Normal people would ask such a thing. If you were telling the truth, you probably wouldn't have gotten so defensive. That said, you're welcome to continue your story if you so choose.

Naw dude I'm done here.. I have no reason to lie because I was raised not too, I'm not one of those look at me fans or Mr attention seeker, so believe what you want. Hope we get the kid he's huge and heard he's a good player. Don't follow too much recruiting and what I do is in here..

Don't take him too seriously. For every poster that wants to be confrontational and stir the pot, there are probably 100 or more posters like me who read your story, hope there's some truth to it, appreciate the info, and move on without commenting on it at all. Part of the reason I enjoy message boards is the chance to read stories like yours.

People wonder why posters are reluctant to share info on this board.

It can be a bloodbath on here sometimes. Ridiculous.

If you don't like or trust the information, be skeptical --- just don't publicly berate the person. On the occasion a person has real insider info, they may be hesitant to post it. We've seen people popup on this forum with real insider information, like the poster that provided great info on middle-TN recruits (Vol74, I believe).

I don't understand why people are always questioned about info. Take it how you want to. Not everyone has to believe it. But none of us live in a bubble. There are people on here who know things, and there are others who happen to find info by accident based on where they are. I am no one special and live 6 hours away, but I happen to get indirect info about Quarte Sapp because I know someone who knows him. I also know a local high school coach who I went to school with and he updates me about prospects. This is all based on who I know, and I don't anyone at UT or in the program. People know things.

Wow, maybe my username should be changed to "Bloodbath Berater." Heaven forbid that posters ask any questions rather than being strung along like sheep with blind faith.

Consider me another "bloodbath berater". Even most of the blatantly unreliable rumors we see here don't seem to have everything come together as...conveniently as that one does.

97 posts and you're questioning credibility?

I think asking questions is fine. It' the condescending way you ask was the problem. But you knew that when you ask!!!!!:good!:

I don't think there'd be any backlash if you had simply questioned the information.

You took it a step further and called the guy creepy and said that the information was garbage. Don't really see your point in doing that.
