Gotta disagree, LV.

How about he cancels the two OVs, then proceeds to choose the Vols at an All-Star game so we get some national pub.

In the past I always liked that. Now, not so much.

Yes, a kid choosing the Vols in the 4th Qtr of an all star game is some good pub. A committed kid who is addressed as "a Tennessee commitment" 43 times during the game even more so. :)

I was rummaging through the Holiday Inn dumpster last night around 11:55 looking for a snack, and saw this conversation take place through the front window of the hotel.
So...

When Toter said "seal the deal", he wasn't talking about Junior. He was encouraging Jancek and Thig to swing with the parents. I only hope Jancek was referring to Junior when he said "he's ours."

I can't possibly imagine myself approaching a recruit's parents during a private meeting with coaches. As soon as I question the story, people suggest that I'm running off posters with inside info. Conversely, I would argue that posters like you run off good people by mocking their post count. How do you expect people to get involved? I cannot imagine this level of backlash on a forum like Reddit. I wasn't the one who resulted to name-calling yet the story-teller called me "stuck-up."

Update from 247. Also, the guy that interviewed Kirkland just flipped his CB from Ole Miss to Tennessee

Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central Top247 linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. arrived at Tennessee for his official visit already very high on the Vols.
The U.S. Army All-American left feeling even better about the SEC program.
"Awesome weekend in Knoxville, everybody really made it feel like a home away from home," Kirkland said.
Tennessee is in the final five for the nation's No. 4 inside linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite along with Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas and USC. Kirkland plans to announce his college decision on Jan. 3 at the U.S. Army All-America Bowl.
The people made this trip to Knoxville what it was for Kirkland.
"I was with Todd Kelly, my family actually connected with his family which was nice to see. He is a good player. They were all great and their message was the same as the staff, I can come in and make a big impact, especially coming in early. They were just telling me how much they wanted me to be a part of their family."
The vibe inside Neyland Stadium for the Missouri game also stood out.
"Crazy atmosphere to be a part of," Kirkland said. "Really was great."
Kirkland also gave Tennessee love on his Twitter.
"Couldn't ask for a better weekend here on #RockyTop , #VolNation Coach Butch has something special just wait!"
This was the third official of the process for Kirkland. He already took visits to Oklahoma and Ole Miss, and heads to Texas and USC the first two weekends of December.

Lookin' good for the home team. Anyone know why ND did not offer this kid? Seems like that should have been one of his first offers. ND fans probably shakin' their heads right now, I know I would.

I think calling him a lock at this point as some hoped would not really be accurate. Looks like he will take those other trips. Just have to see if the coaches are willing to wait or another LB becomes a possibility before early January.

not sure, but they already have 4 LBs committed. And I know at least 2 are 4 stars

Did Kirkland move his USC visit from December to November 28th? I thought both the USC & TX visits were set to be in December?
