My Senior highlights! Loved every minute of this year with this team! #LeftALegacy 2014 Senior Highlights - Quinten Dormady highlights …

Two things immediately jump out when watching his film.

1. He can definitely run it when needed.
2. He is going to have to learn to step up in the pocket and not throw off his back foot.

The upside with Dormady is huge. Prototypical size, arm and underrated athleticism.

Yeah he threw off his back foot quite a bit. He looks a lot like the QB we just played Towles

His drop back is fine. He loses a lot of velocity in his weight transfer when he throws.

Did not expect him to be that mobile.

Both of our QB commits have potential to be VERY good.

If Dobbs goes down we may not win another game. We have 0 talent behind him.
Yeah. One of them is likely going to be the backup, unless Peterman snaps out of the mental funk he is in. I really do think he gets a little frazzled when playing in a game. No pressure in practice. Needs to see a Sports Psychologist, perhaps.

I like what I see in Dormady's Senior tape (re-affirms my comparisons to Collin Klein who was a star for Kansas St a few years ago), so I'm really encouraged by both QB's.

Id expect both QBs to get the Dobbs treatment next season, i.e. redshirt unless needed.

Dormady has a few kinks to work out but the talent is obviously there. Especially when you consider he didnt play last year due to an injury to his throwing arm. Loads of potential.

Just like what the guy posted above this post: both QB's need a year in this system. Look what Dobbs said in the most recent article on the Volnation main page. This system takes a while to learn and understand. I am 100% certain these 2 QB's coming in are talented, no doubt. But, they need to be redshirted and that will be the main plan unless we lose Dobbs and Peterman to injury.

Thing is despite the criticism we need Peterman to work out if that is going to happen. We need a decent backup to Dobbs or we fall into another situation where we're burning redshirts.

He had to leave out the INT #s from his stat line in the video. Smart move. Kid has a good arm and decent mobility. I think the high INT # was due to trying to make things happen. He didn't have much help. His receivers were below average. There were some good throws in that reel though.

I'm hoping Jennings is our follow up to Dobbs. We see how a more athletic QB looks in Bajakisn's offense.

As already posted Dormady and Jennings need to RS. Let's not give up on Nate as a good back-up to Dobbs. It takes some guys longer for the light bulb to come on and this offense can be complex and highly dependent on timing. There is still time for him to be good enough for that role. Then one of the two guys coming in will probably be more advanced than the other for the 3rd team role in a worst case scenario like last year.

They will work on Quinten transferring his weight forward and not throwing off his back leg. Some of that is because of a lack of protection in the pocket. Bray was horrible about it as well and he improved. He has all the throws and mobility needed to do the job well.

So much this. I have not given up hope on Peterman yet. Kid just needs to get over that mental game wall.

Dormady could add about 7-10 yards of velocity on his throws when he gets his footwork down.

That could get fixed pretty quickly too.

I've tried to be optimistic about Nate multiple times but I have zero faith in him if we have to rely on him in a game. He absolutely freaks out when the lights are on

I was saying the same thing about Dobbs and Peterman during fall camp. Peterman just looks like he is overwhelmed by the speed of the game and his mind just gets frazzled when he has to drop back to pass. Based on what Dobbs flaws appeared to be last year, and the way he looked in the KY game and Spring O/W game...it was just a matter of him, too, getting acclimated to the speed of SEC football. He's done really well adjusting, thus far.

When Peterman is inserted into the starting lineup, Bajakian needs to take off the training wheels and let Peterman throw. Too many times, it's been one handoff to the tailback, up the middle, after another. It's as vanilla as it can be.

I understand Butch wants to show a little class and not appear to run up the score....but everyone knows we called off the dogs by putting in our 2nd and 3rd team players. If there are still several minutes left to play, let Peterman go full throttle. He might finally break out of his mental funk.

I thought our doomed offense was gonna have to rely on a freshman? Funny how things change

I hope peterman doesn't transfer and we can redshirt both our qb's. By that time we should know if Jennings will be a quarterback or if we move him to safety.( I think he will be fine at quarterback) but it's looking like we are going to finally have some good depth at quarterback.

I can't be the only one thinking this...

How is it that one of the excuses all season on the board for Dormady was bad WR's, but now suddenly, one of his WR's apparently is apparently one of the best in the state (statistically)?

No sleight intended, but I thought the consensus around here is that he was throwing to sacks of potatoes. :dunno:

I thought the word was his OL is terrible? Not unlike his future team...
