AJ Johnson Accused of Sexual Assault

That's a mighty broad brush there, bc. I've known several, totally professional, upstanding police officers through the years, including my favorite uncle, God rest his soul. You might want to rethink whom you call an "under-educated hick."

Hyperbole

How about most of the UTPD. At least when I was in school. They'd send out these crew cut roided 20 year olds to bust up parties. Stupid and full of testosterone, saving the world by beating up one drunk college kid at a time. Ignoring the armed robberies, sexual assaults, and rapes that took place on a weekly basis in the fort of course. No, I think under educated hicks was pretty fitting in my experience with that police force

Ignorance. First of all this shows you don't have the first clue about what you're talking about. Police have to be at least 21. Second. Police answer every call. They have to. They don't ignore anything and have to respond to EVERY call. Just because you may not have liked the response doesn't mean they ignored other calls. I'm sure officers do act a little pumped up when responding to a college party. Think about responding to 100 drunken no-minds with 4 or 5 officers. If you don't take control fast you'll lose it and then you've got nothing.

Nothing more fun than cracking the heads of disrespectful college kids.:)

Usually, that sort of statement is made by those who have an undesirable history with law enforcement. In my experience law enforcement officers treat you with the amount of respect you generally ask for and earn.

For the most part, I will say the douchebags are the most memorable though and you run into just one they can ruin you.

bama, based on your posts, it appears you are the insecure one.

Hijacking a thread to try to seem like a tough guy is usually done by the weak and insecure.

Back to the topic, UT is doing the right thing in this situation.

Lol!

Ignorant is arresting a kid standing on a sidewalk for "obstructing the sidewalk".

You know what that says to me?

"I was stumbling down the sidewalk and kept running into people as I was drunkenly slurring about how many Natty Lights I had and how I was the belle of the ball at Sigma Nu. Then I stumbled into a cop who pulled me aside for my own safety. Then I started telling him how he's a mindless drone so he booked me. Fascist pig."

Whatever the case, one person who no one seems to mention who is a victim is AJ's girlfriend. I hate this for her.

She woke up yesterday to be hit with the news that her man was either a rapist or cheat. Neither one reflects well on his character.

A few short weeks ago, some on here were concerned about how we could get all of the recruits that were interested in U.T. for 2015.
Well, the current roster keeps changing constantly. Should this story grow and there is hard evidence about it, then Williams will be dismissed from the team, thus clearing up a position for another 2015 recruit.
Why is it that in most instances, players from ANY team seem to get in trouble the night after winning a game? I guess they party and celebrate the win too much....... Most disorderly conduct, D.U.I. ,sexual assault or fighting occur after a victory and almost no incidents happen on a weekend when we are hosting recruits on official visits. Odd, huh?

Well this thread is off to a great start, we're four pages in and half this page is just personal attacks. This crap accomplishes nothing. You're not going to get someone to acknowledge any part of your opinion by berating them and treating them like crap.

Can we get back to REAL information about this situation, instead of poster-bashing and overly defensive nonsense?

Apologies. You are right.

This is a terrible situation for all involved. No matter the outcome or who is to blame, there is a victim and some terrible choices made.

Johnson is one of my all-time favorite vols and I hate that any of this has come about.

Now days kids are weak and sissy. What happened to the days where a fist fight was the answer to a problem. Now days we've got people getting charged with assault for giveimg someone a black eye who was running their mouth and probably deserved it. I've been in a fight and lost before and I sure as hell didn't run to the police. I learned from my mistakes and got a heavy bag.
