So - as the other game in the option is Miss St. - Vandy - if Miss St beats Bama and stays at #1, that game - in all likelihood - will probably be the ESPN game.

There wasn't any chance. All but 3 match ups were a team vs an FCS opponent.

I'm a bit surprised CBS went ahead and picked the Egg Bowl over the Iron Bowl, but I guess they couldn't wait until next week...so might have forced their hand a bit.

I'm glad because we can watch the majority of that game over the egg bowl. Not saying the egg bowl won't be a good game but prefer the Iron Bowl. Don't ask me why just a preference

Yes the egg bowl and Iron bowl are Nov 29th and we play Vandy at 4 pm at which time UM vs MSU play at 3:30. The iron bowl is on at 7:45 et

Alabama hit its limit in terms of games that could be on CBS. The max is 5 I believe.

Oh you were saying you weren't prevented from watching the Iron Bowl by the Vandy game's start time.

It had looked like you were saying the fact that ESPN had picked up the Iron Bowl somehow, on its own, just allowed you to watch it where you couldn't have otherwise.

I've grown to dislike the CBS games due to the announcers and 1hr of commercials. Games take 4 hrs on CBS

So excited to know this! I was offered a pretty cool opportunity to have a field pass for the GSU vs Clemson game that day (Husband is Director of Athletic Video at GSU). I was going to turn it down and stay home if our game overlapped, which would have gotten me approximately three days of the silent treatment, but now I can do both! Kind of cool to be on the field at Clemson, even if it is GSU (Sorry, hubby...) I wonder if he'll let me wear orange to the game before we go to watch the ONLY team in orange I really care about...:good!:
