Alabama vs LSU game thread CBS

How the **** does a play that goes to the 1 yard line, making it a first and goal, then add on a dead ball penalty backing them up and it becomes 1st and 10 again? It should've been 1st and goal from the 16 for Bama.

I dunno

I enjoyed watching the TCU game, personally.

But I think Gus Johnson can make even a blowout entertaining...at least much better than these CBS announcers.

Watched a little of it. I just have a hard time watching non SEC games lately. Lol and I'm usually not an "SEC SEC" guy

Actually a good question

I wondered the same thing but thought that I just missed something. I think it should have been 1st and goal from the 16

Again, mainly because of a better announcer. He stays much more excited (very excited) about whatever's going on on the field. It's just...a bit nicer.

These refs are atrocious. Shouldn't it have been 1st and Goal after the penalty instead of 1st and 10?

Maybe in situations like that the first down distance gets set from where the ball's set from for the next set of downs?

The play before it was a different set.

It's the exact same as the perosnal foul on LSU the series before. They recovered on the 6, so it was first and goal. Got a dead ball penalty backing them up to the 21 and it was 2nd and goal from the 21.

LSU had run the first down play though. Don't know if that's the difference or not.
