Last year CBJ mentioned that for the first time, he (and most of his assistants) bought houses because they don't intend to go anywhere else.

I believe there is a lot of truth to that.

Plus he knows what a pain in the arse it is to rebuild a program from the ground zero.

Icing on the Cake: Even at Michigan, it is tough to out recruit a typical SEC team, let alone a storied program like Tennessee!

Kiffin bought a house in Knoxville and even named his son after the city.

He's a Mormon, played for BYU and has been at Utah for 20 yrs he's not leaving on his own accord. I don't know why people think that everyone is interested in leaving a job just because X pays more or is more tradition. There's something to be said for enjoying where you live and enjoying who you work with/for.

For example, I don't think there's any amount of money that could make me move to California. I have family and friends close by, I love the weather of TN, I love the scenery, the people etc. that stuff isn't worth giving up for money.

Rumors were he was interviewed and possibly turned the job down when they hired Dooley.

I agree with what you are saying and maybe some on here have a short memory but I remember how hard of a time we had hiring a coach when we hired both Jones and Dooley.

CBJ's coaching style is almost identical to Rich Rod. UM backers/fans want a pro style, old school type offense...enter Bielema, Saban. CBJ isnt going anywhere

Hoke kind of mixed it up and thats was his downfall - if the AD doesnt get Harbaugh or Miles - he gets fired also (going by the UM rumors)

Harbaugh, Miles would be their first tries. Likely not to get either. So i don't know what direction they go from there. Saban would go to Texas before he'd go to Michigan.. Bielema i'd say would be about where Jones is on their list. About scraping the bottom of the barrel at that point.

Harbaugh wont survive SF - unless they win the SB

that's just crap...really, would you move to the big10 from the sec?? he has too much invested and way too much to look forward to.

There are only 2 reasons for this article:

1) Pushing for a raise for the UT coaching staff
2) To have a negative impact on UT recruiting

It would be career suicide for the UM AD to consider Butch Jones to replace Hoke. Hoke had more accomplishments including winning seasons and bowl games. Also, Jones is a disciple of Rich Rod. Butch has yet to demonstrate the ability to take a program to the top in a major conference. This might be a possibility is 4-5 years but there is nothing on Butch's resume that would stand out right now. He may be from Michigan, but he is not a "Michigan Man."

Bielema is already a proven winner in that conference he would probably do well at Michigan.

Come on, guys. Don't feed this fire. It's not a concern. Butch is a Vol. Recruiting is rolling and Bristol will be the biggest (capacity) football game in history. Michigan will hire someone who has already won in a power conference (Miles, Mullen, etc.)

butch hasn't won many games at UT---why would michigan hire him? they want a big name like harbaugh or kelly---if they can pay $6 million plus they can get who they want.
