This is an exact copy and pasted quote from Volquest.

I know reading between the lines is a bit much to ask of you simpletons but anyone who subscribes to Volquest knows what this means. He's gone. Get over it and move on with your life.

I don't think people have as much a problem with losing Reid as they do in your abrasive and condescending tone in relaying the information from the VQ guys, passing it off as your super secret source, and then chastising those who think Reid is a good running back.

It's not because they are leery the staff is making a wrong decision. Should we not advocate Preston Williams being a VOL because #1 WR Calvin Ridley may listen to one of our coaches.

Post that all by yourself?

lost an argument...resort to personal attack.

classy

Talking about yourself? Two posts above the one I'm quoting you make a snide remark rather than challenging the content. I honestly couldn't care less if Reid is part of this class as long as the staff upgrades the talent if he goes elsewhere. I also couldn't care less what his name is. He could be named Michelle, and I wouldn't want him to play for UT any less than I do now. From reading the last couple of pages, I've concluded a couple of things. First, Eric's synopsis of what has been posted on VQ seems more accurate and less biased than yours. Second, as engineer mentioned, I think most people are much less annoyed by the content of your message than they are by the delivery of it. I won't say much more than that because I don't want to violate board rules.

Couldnt "upgrade" simply mean that they are gonna try and take theee to upgrade our depth as a whole? We are still thin at the position, it'd be nice to add three of possible and I'd like to think Reid would be one of them.

Get out of here with that logic. Upgrade does not simply mean "replace", it can also mean "add to."

However, I do buy the idea that Rocky will peace if we add a 3rd back. If Love commits to us after the Bama game, I think our 3 RB's will be Kamara, Love, and Vaughn.

I like Reid a lot, but I would be more than happy with that haul. I can see it as a very real possibility too. It would be one if the better RB hauls in the country this cycle.

Agreed. We would arguably have the best stable of backs in the SEC next year if that happened.

Stop the fighting, it makes you sound like a bunch of school girls. It could be upgrading by numbers instead of just trading guys out.

However between fort, hubbs, and Matthews, it sounds like Reid could go else where. That's just my opinion based on what I've heard. We all want the same thing and that is for this team to get better.

Just because Hubbs or Fort said something doesn't make it fact. The only thing they know is what they hear. Which may, or may not be credible. I take what those guys say with a grain of salt and will wait until NSD and trust CBJ.

I like Reid over Vaughn.

Do you think it would be a good trade off?

Guys, chill.

Hubbs is normally reliable, and PFort ain't too bad.

But here's the deal. If the coaches want him to be a part of this class, and he also wants to be a part of this class, then he will be.

But if the coaches do not want him to be a part of this class, or he does not want to be a part of this class, then he will find a place to land, and you have to trust that we have a good reason to let him go, or he has a good reason to move on.

Either way, you can trust that the best move is going to be made for both parties. Schools decide that recruits that are commits are no longer going to be a part of the recruiting class every single year. What you want to do is make sure that you do it early enough to where it doesn't harm the kid, and it doesn't send him scrambling.

IF Butch and Co. have an inclination that Rocky will not be a part of this class, then they should be applauded for letting him know at this point, instead of much further down the road when he has a lot fewer options because classes are filling up.

And IF Butch and Co. have an inclination that Rocky will not be a part of this class, then they should be applauded because it also means that most likely, they have a more talented back that they would like to have, and they are doing what they can to make sure that they get the most talented player that fits their profile possible.

Rocky is a good back, no doubt. But we have to just trust the coaches, and trust that it will all work out, and we'll have the best stable of backs that we could have possibly had.

Isn't it possible that some of us have a different opinion than you based on something other than we like his name?

Painting with such broad strokes makes you look like a fool, and having read a lot of your posts it doesn't seem like you are... so what gives here?

Captain Obvious has spoken!

I think some ppl are watching his soph film that is linked on the first page and not watching his junior film.. There is no way a UT fan wouldn't be excited about landing this guy.

His junior film is as good as any RB in his class.. He made huge strides between those seasons and sounds like he's still improving from the way his stat lines have looked.
