Sorry to disappoint everyone, but that is clearly not Butch. Look at the top button on the polo. :)

Of course, Blair is the only one not starting as a result of either poor evaluation and/or failing to be coached up...

Neither. He came in out of shape. If the coaches thought he was a bust, he would be processed through and the coaches would have another available scholarship. My guess is they know, it's better for him and the team if they can get 2 solid years out of him instead of 1 and a half.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Hearing some positive things on the Richmond front. It's still an uphill battle vs Ole Miss, but we have some momentum. Just gotta get mom on board.

IIRC I saw a stat that none of the JUCO tackles that were signed by SEC teams were starting so, yes it looks like it is normal for JUCO OTs to not contribute. At least in their first year.

I believe the one that Ole Miss signed is starting. He may not have started their first game, but I believe he is starting now.

Guys. We in dis thang...

He said he decided to spend the weekend at Tennessee because he “just wanted to get up there and be around them.”

“I love those guys so much. I love Coach (Butch) Jones. I love (director of player personnel) Bob Welton, (offensive line coach Don) Mahoney. I love all those guys,”

There's even more glowing things he says.

“I’m taking all five visits, and I will be at Tennessee for the ‘Bama game,” he said. “And there’s a possibility I’ll come back up there a couple more times — for maybe the Kentucky game or Missouri. I just love being there. I mean, I’m committed to Ole Miss and stuff, but I love being up there with those guys.”

“I mean, anything can happen,” said Richmond, who expects Jones to attend his home game Friday night against St. Benedict at Auburndale High School of Cordova, Tenn. “Something wild can happen. Coach could get a new job — anything. I just don’t want to get put in a bad situation, so that’s why I’m taking all my visits.

“Like I said, anything can happen. I’m just being practical about it.”

I mean. Just wow. That sounds excellent for the good guys. He loves us, I hope his mom comes around and ultimatley lets him make his first important adult decision.

If Preston Williams said something like this about another school I'd assume the worst. HELL YES. Love that we get the last visit.

Is Butch using the ole Huey Woodchuck may leave for another program with more tradition bit?

Doesn't sound like an Ole Miss commitment to me.

Sounds like from the quotes, his twitter feed, and connections that he wants to be a vol but his family wants him at ole miss. I think this ends up going our direction in the end.

And by family you mean his Mom. His Dad is already on board with Drew running through the power T from everything that's been said during his visit this summer.

I like his approach to recruiting, basically saying "Yeah anything can happen my recruitment isn't over". It would infuriate me if it was one of our commits doing it but I definitely understand it. Ole Miss coaches must be sweatin' tryin to hold onto this guy.
