On the other hand, would us getting beat down at Oxford (God forbid) and him listening to people dog his home state institution work for or against us? He knows he is the missing link here and how much faster this thing turns around of he is anchored in at tackle. Just a thought..

I don't see how getting beat down in Oxford helps us in any way..maybe it's just me?

Depends on whether he rejoices their win or sympathizes with our loss. I wonder which would influence him more. He understands our situation and what we lack, why not help resurrect your home state school? Either way I hope he can be swayed.

If he treats it the way he treated the UTC game, he won't be watching anything other than his phone.

That's how most high school kids are these days and it's like an addiction. I went to my niece's high school graduation ceremony in May and it looked like at least 2/3 of the class was looking down at their phones throughout the ceremony even after they had been politely asked by the commencement speaker (a disabled Iraq war veteran) to put them away. Drew was just being normal I guess.

Two ways this can go:
1)Richmond stays close to home and goes to Ole Miss.
2)Richmond goes to Knoxville where more of his friends are.

I think that's pretty simplistic but it's just easier on Richmond right now to be committed to Ole Miss with the pressure on him. It's going to end up a real interesting recruitment closer to NSD. IDK if we land him in the end but I think anyone who says we're out of it is completely crazy.

You guys talk about immediate playing time. Ole Miss has a Sr OT and and a Jr OT. You don't think they are telling him that he'll get playing time right away? Plus they are a top 5 team, closer to home an Mama want's him to go there?

I just don't see why people on here think he'll flip... I wish he would but I'm convinced the ship has sailed on this one and we need OL in the worst kind of way so go after ones we can actually get....

Talk about wanting to be proven wrong on this one, I'd like nothing better!!!

I'm not going to speak for anyone else, but I don't think most here believe he definitely will flip, just that he COULD flip.

You think that we should give up on our #1 remaining target at our #1 position of need? We can recruit multiple OT's at the same time.

There is a lot of things that a lot of you guys don't see that is going into his decision. I will say this I don't think he would go to 3 of our games in a row (UT Chat, at Ole Miss, Bama) if he wasn't interested.

Not give up, I wish I worded my post better. If he were to by some miracle flip everyone knows we'd make room. I just trying to be realistic. We need OL help in the worst way...we need bodies

Dooley recruited 'bodies'....

The pic of Nkemdiche with the bong will probably be a big selling point with Drew's family. I'm sure the Ole Miss staff will claim it's part of their anti-drug effort by saying the photo is a "don't try this at home" pic.

Laremy Tunsil is a sophomore. Granted, he may leave early, but that is not guaranteed. The RT was a JUCO playing his first year. I have no idea where you got a senior. The two backing up both of them are redshirt freshmens and will be in their 3rd year when Richmond gets there.

You can make any argument you want, but all I have to do is use my eyes to see that Richmond would get on the field sooner at UT. That said, playing as a true freshman is still a scary thought. But, he would immediately be in the 2 deep at UT right away.

If your mom wants you to go to a small town school an hour away, you should go to a school farther away in a bigger city. Unless you want your mom showing up at your dorm at 8am
