i would agree, but i think when most on here talk about replacing Fulmer, they are looking at the model OSU, OU, USC and the like have.Point is either Scar or Bama in the future should be a blueprint for upgrading coaches so we will see.
all the coaches before pete caroll had the same advantage, he's the one that cashed in. plus his national recruiting is pretty good too. two of his offensive play makers are out of state. Patrick Turner and JDBooty. i'm sure there are others too...but those two just popped in to the old noggen.USC gets to recruit from the state of Cali. big advantage.
now you're giving to much value to any coach. He has clearly made that a better program across the board. He doesn't yet have the tools in place to beat everyone else and the SEC is a tough place to bring a program from the bottom to the top of the heap. Patience with him is justified.Yea but everyone agrees SP is a great coach so results should have been better than they are.
Are you saying your cocks expectation is to low?now you're giving to much value to any coach. He has clearly made that a better program across the board. Unrealistic fans can keep expecting near term turnarounds, but systemic mental change is not a short process where losing games has been the trend. If Smelley ends up worth anything, they will remain very dangerous going forward. That pathetic squad had us dead to rights at the end of regulation after having been soundly stomped in the 1st half. That's coaching. They didn't get it done, but they scared the hell out of all of us.
