I have a job. Health insurance. Life insurance. Short & long term disability insurance.
As I said something could happen to take it all away. Hopefully it never will but terrible things to happen to good responsible people. You could go to work tomorrow and be told you no longer have a job, your insurance gone. I am not saying this will happen to you but it does happen and has happened to way too many people the last 10 -12 years. I don't like people that abuse the system. I also do not have a problem in helping people that actually need it.
So you are saying the responsible thing to do is have the child, refuse any type of government assistance and carry on with life, correct?
People who can't afford abortions don't need kids. And when they have kids, you and I end up paying to raise those kids. The hospital bill for their birth alone is ten times more than the abortion.
That is an answer. If two broke idiots lay down & make a baby it's their responsibility & nobody else's. Not one penny should be used to support idiocy, laziness, disability, etc. Eventually it won't be an issue because there won't be any money to waste. You can't tax a few to support the rest forever.
I am totally against capital punishment. Doesn't reduce crime. Can't be reversed in the case of wrongful conviction. I don't want my tax dollars spent on capital punishment. Unfortunately for me, there is no such thing as "my tax dollars". There are only tax dollars. They don't belong to me. The government determines how these tax dollars are spent. We influence these decisions at the ballot box, and by petitioning our elected officials.Capital punishment wouldn't waste money if not for libs. Defense spending is necessary but needs a tighter budget & accountability.
What's the alternative? We need employees in these careers. They don't make enough to support themselves. It's a basic problem with capitalism. What's the solution?

I have to respond to the bolded piece because it is a fallacy that constantly gets repeated by socialists to further their agenda. Capitalism has done more to bring people out of poverty than any other social/economic structure. The fact that people can no longer support a family on minimum wage is not the fault of capitalism. Heck, can you imagine what our grandparents would have thought of an entry level job that paid $10/hr. IMO, It has more to do with a monetary policy that has perverted our form of capitalism. Today, every company I know of is taking massive cost-cutting measures to stay in business, yet the cost of goods continues to rise instead of go down. The reason is inflation.
In basic, inflation is due to monetary expansion. Oddly enough, the government has very little control over this expansion. This responsibility was outsourced to private banks a long time ago. Inflation is good for the banking industry, so remember the next time you hear the Federal Reserve Chairman say they're targeting high inflation... they aren't doing it to help the little guy.
