Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the high waisted shorts and short shirt look. It doesn't make my legs look good.

Yeah it really is mind blowing, pretty much coming out of left field. One of the top strikers in the world for sure and we're glad to have him. Thought we should have gotten another center mid or central defender, but you can't really pass up this opportunity. van Persie might be needing knee surgery soon though, so I'm guessing that's another reason we signed him.

Hey Freak, is there a VN android app? I think a dedicated app would be sweet. I use this website on my tablet & phone, but I feel like it could be better as an app. May not be worth it, but a guy can dream.

The site has been mobile optimized. No reason to have an app honestly.

Sitting here watching my Braves lose again. I'm guessing that there may be a change in the Manager and General Manager and or Player Personnel positions at the end of the season. The Braves need 5 or 6 new players that can actually get hits and not stand at the plate time after time and watch the ball whiz by (over the plate) without a swing. They also need at least 1 new starter and a couple of new relief pitchers. May need a new hitting coach too. They got no-hit last night and are getting shut out again tonight.
Another BAD year. Is there a Butch that manages baseball that we can get?

3 hits in two nights. Something needs to change. Wren sucks. Kawakami, d. Lowe, Uggla, B.J. He is the worst GM I've seen in action. He can pick up some good ones, like harang and santana, but damn. Our TV deal makes us too broke to get anybody and then wren swings and misses on the few we do get.

I think our pitching only seems bad because those guys are asked to do the impossible and win games without run support. We've gone two games without a single run! You can't win if you don't score at least one! I think they're trying too hard. Harang had like a months worth of quality starts without a win and these younger pitchers let that into their head.

Feel bad for the starters especially Alex Wood and Santana.

It's like they've all of a sudden forgotten how to hit. I get so frustrated that I have to turn the channel. One guy who really pisses me off is B.J. Upton. Since he's been here, he's stunk it up at the plate with decent games here and there. I just prepare for an out when he's at the plate

They've scored only one run in the last FOUR games - they need some hitters. It's too late this year, I don't see them getting a Wildcard, but changes need to be made in the offseason. We do have a few good pitchers though.

Sadly we're paying two batting coaches to get these results. BJ, Uggla get resoundingly worse when they come here and other people leave and find the problems in their swing and get better. Martin Prado was good when he was here, but he's been lights out great since he left, especially now in NY with people to protect him in the lineup. There is something wrong in Atl, I don't know how you fix the offense. We just locked up Simmons, freeman, Gattis, Chris Johnson (regrettably), and the one we haven't is heyward. That leaves 2nd and two outfield positions (one of which is justin Upton, the only guy hitting well). Where do you add offense? Seriously, if you're wren, and you have a blank check, which he doesn't, who can you add at 2nd or outfield and get more production? I think we need to trade Johnson, dump BJ, and get hitters at third and outfield, which will probably cost us Gattis and pitching in a trade with the AL.

Welcome to our world. Reds fan. Any one of our fan base could have written your post. We are both fighting it out for the worst offense in the NL outside of San Diego.

Had some awful insomnia last night so I searched and read through OLD Volnation threads... The sab debacle was way funnier than I expected. Also didn't realize how divisive it was on here and how many of his allies are still posting here. It's amazing the wide variety of characters this forum has attracted over the years.

Hey Freak, my VN mobile page always jumps back to the top when it's finished loading. Drives me nuts cause it always makes me click the wrong thread. I've used chrome and the stock browser, does it on both. No other site does it.

I've tried clearing cache/cookies. I use the iPhone option at mobile. VolNation. Com. Any reason you can think of?

Jave it does this on android as well. Drives me up the wall crazy.

We keep our scouting system...just need your Assistant GM and his assistant...assistant hitting and pitching coaches...and their assistants...thennnn?...we done.

Drives me nuts as well. I don't know how many times I've clicked on the board rules or whatever ad banner was at the top of the page. That might be Freak's ulterior motive though. :p

I am a Cardinals fan. It's funny too because my dad's family is from central Illinois and are all Cubs fans. The only reason I would ever root for the Cubs would be so that my PaPa could see them win a World Series in his lifetime.

Now as far as our trade transaction....

Me too! The login is at the bottom and with my slow a$$ old iPhone, I scroll all the way to the bottom, click, then it jumps me all the way back to the top and I accidentally click on the rules thread. Drives me nuts!
