'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

So great.

We will see. If he keeps progressing like he has in this short amount of time, he may stay at that position forever.

Prepare thy shocked face.

I just don't think the UT staff takes JJ as a QB with the plan to move him to defense within 6 months. With the kid being very clear about wanting to play QB in college, I doubt he will be ready to call it quits after just 6 months. IMO he would transfer if the staff tired to move him that early. UT is not looking like they are having trouble recruiting quality talent at safety. If they did not see JJ as a QB, IMO they would have passed on him altogether.

He's turning into a really good QB, no argument there. He's arguably the best safety in the country. So, I'll say 6 months. Jmo

Really depends on our safety development.

Jennings is making too much progress for me to consider him a safety, at this point.

I'm all for either, but he's been so dang
impressive at QB. Guess we'll see when he plays Oakland this week.

Fair point chief

Volatil, before I make my Sunday prediction, how has Blackman's defense looked this summer?

I agree. I think ultimately how much time he spends at QB will be up to him. It will be interesting to see how long he will compete if he doesn't win the job right away. If he feels he will be stuck behind 1 or 2 others, I think we could see some movement.
