'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

little different than when Doolittle was here. judging from the way he pulled away from the Butler players Reid has gotten to fast for that tool to have recruited him.

Bigger, stronger, faster..... There's gotta be a "and hell's coming with me!" segue in there somewhere

Griddie,

I respect the insight and knowledge you bring to this board and how you stick up for N.C. players on a regular basis...

But it is hard to take your opinion seriously as you show little attempt at objectivity. You are clearly biased toward everything North Carolina.

Tone down the hyperbole. Reid is a decent player but he isn't the be all end all you think he is and I personally think we can upgrade over him.

Again, I appreciate your contributions to this board and this is certainly not an attempt to degrade your input but sometimes you go overboard.

Smh!! It's his opinion. If you don't like it, ignore him. He doesn't go overboard. He's giving his opinion on the kids he knows about, which happen to be in NC.

Some of the coaches from the top schools in NC say hes the best RB in the state. Ive seen him play and hes gotten faster. 3,555 yards and 41 tds. All those are facts. the first sentence alone is enough for me not to care what you think.

He may production wise be the best running back in the state of North Carolina. But as a college prospect he's MAYBE the fourth best and clearly behind Hines, Frazier and Love.

And before I am called a "star gazer" as I inevitably will be....please notice that I am not in the threads of Dylan Jackson, Chance Hall, Stephen Griffin, Kyle Oliver, Austin Smith, Quay Picou, Marques Ford, Quinton Dormady or Jocquez Bruce. So calling me a "star gazer" is invalid

He is as good or better than all of those as a rb right now. Fraiser has more upside than any. Love and Hines are not every down RB and will play slot as well. All four are great prospects, with fraiser being a 5 star and the othe three legit 4 stars.

I think the coaches at UT are not star gazers either. It is what started get CPF behind the eight ball. They see talent that fits what they desire regardless of offer list ect. You can have an opinion as well as anyone else. However, regardless if purposeful or not, you put yourself out there when you posted what you did. Reid is a great player and some back off once they feel a kid is solid to a school. Also, a lot of guys UT recruit seem to get more stars in the future and then other schools come after them. What did these great coaches do before services? They scouted and evaluated and the real good programs still do.

Strictly hypothetical but what are you going to say if/when Reid is asked to "consider other options?" would he still be the greatest running back of all time in your eyes?

ironically westside must have no clue thay his recruitment is very heavy from a ton of schools. But he continually and politely turns then away.

Back to my original point...Reid is overrated, despite Griddie's incredible hype machine, and likely to be recruited over so this all likely a moot point.

Reid is a mid three star on both 247 and Rivals, but you think he is overrated? Do you think he should be a lower 3 star or possibly even a two star?

Congratulations on using this board for what it is supposed to be used for.

I think he is rated correctly on both sites. I just don't think he is an sec-quality back as evidenced by the lack of his sec offers.

Overrated? Disagree.

Recruited over? Disagree.

The staff took Reid's commitment pretty early in the process. I really like what Rocky brings to the table. Kid is a grinder. He's a horse at the RB position. He'll be putting up similar numbers to what Hurd did in his Junior year. And Rocky plays in the top classification of NC.

I think he may even be an EE. He won't be asked to play right away. Could even Redshirt. Hurd, AK, Scott, and Paulk will most likely be in front of him.

It will be interesting to see him this year. Based on recent reports, he has gained some speed and quickness. IMO, this was all he was lacking to be the a total package and a SEC level RB. Still wait and see for me.
