ISIS Takes Control of Mosul

While CNN is milking it for all it's worth, I'll be honest, that footage from the helicopters on the mountain that some of you have been referencing might be the most gut wrenching thing I've seen in a while. Maybe damn near ever.

Nice try..guess again

Okay. I'll try again.

Nice try, but Bush actually got rid of people when they screwed up after Katrina.

Obama has yet to rid himself of any of the many department heads that should be in jail much less collecting my tax dollars.

How soon some forget....

"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

George W. Bush congratulates FEMA director Michael Brown for the great job he is doing but 10 days later Michael Brown has to resign because of how poorly he handled Hurricane Katrina

Arming The “Good” Syrian Rebels Would Not Have Prevented The Rise Of ISIS

If the United States had armed the “good” rebels, assuming that we could have even identified them, then it is inevitable that those arms would have ended up in the hands of ISIS or one of its jihadist allies either via trades between the groups or by theft. Moreover, it is apparent that there was little that we could have done to stop our supposed allies from continuing to finance the more radical elements of the rebellion, just as they did in Libya. ISIS, which people tend to forget used to go by the name al-Qaeda in Iraq during the U.S. occupation, would have gained much the same influence over the Syrian rebellion that it had before, then, the only difference is that they would have done so with U.S. supplied weapons How exactly we would have been better off in this world that Clinton and the others wanted to create is beyond me.

dude, give up, to some of these people Bush did no wrong and Obama can do no right. Its annoying but to be expected when people can't see past party lines.

Funny thing is I see conservative / Republican types arguing here all the time. It's often about candidates, principles, or philosophy.

Let me know the next time you see a good debate over policy or philosophy break out between two progressive / Democrat posters.

On a state and local level I'd tend to agree. Two idiot dems one in the governors mansion and mayor chocolate bar in New Orleans who coincidentally rode out the storm in a penthouse suite.

Katrina was a disaster on a city, state and federal level.
