I never thought the kid was much, he's from trinity which is a school I don't like anyway. I only played with him once but would be surprised if he turns out to be a solid player. Maybe he has gotten better, he certainly is ranked a lot higher, but oh we'll. loservile will probably turn him into a 4 year annoyance for the cats.

Well Duke and just about every other school in the country was starting to pursue him, so yea I would guess he's progressed a little. The gist on him is he has loads of potential, is a bit raw, but is starting to really develop. With his entire senior season to go he likely ends up a consensus top 50 recruit.

Reminds me of Cofer with a little less motor. Defense is way ahead of his offense.
Would be solid pick up but I'm hoping for Owens and Davis.

Idk. I guess my opinion is a little biased. Either way, would have rather seen this kid a vol than a card/dukie.

Wait are you saying that the guy I said was a lock for U.L. and probably shouldn't have a ton of resources expended on him just committed to U.L.? Shocking.

You go hard after kids you have no shot at? That doesn't seem like the best use of resources. How much time do you want U.T. to spend on Swanigan? Why go after kids you have no chance at signing. Everyone gets excited about courtesy offers, but that's just what they are, courtesy offers.

Why did Purdue offer Jalen Brunson, Montaque Gill-Caesar, Aaron Jordan, DJ Williams, Henry Ellenson or Caleb Swanigan?

Tyndall offered before Louisville did. UL offered 6/11 and the kid commits a month later. I doubt UT wasted a lot of resources on this one during that time.

Offers are offers. The kids Tyndall is targeting in year 1 are nice prospects. He's got to sign some, sure. We all get that.

We are in it for some top 100 guys and even some 5*.

I don't think Tyndall is scared to recruit anyone. Should he have never offered because the kid is a Louisville fan? A Louisville fan without an offer at the time none the less?

You don't "not offer" a kid because you're scared Louisville may get into the picture.

I never said you don't offer a kid. There is nothing lost in offering a guy you know you're not going to get as long as you don't actually go after him hard. It gets the fans excited at least. "Donnie Knoxille aint scared to go after the big names." U.T. is in it for some good players, even some top 100 guys, but this wasn't ever going to be one of them.

Things happen in recruiting. Louisville was last to offer. If they never offer, UT would have had a shot perhaps. I'm glad we offered. You never know, Pitino may serve the daily special at his favorite restaurant again and get canned tomorrow. Things happen.

thats not how you recruit....you can go hard after several guys.....it looked like Spaulding was definitely going to Louisville to anyone with common sense but we are not the ones having contact with him.....obviously coaches back off if they cant get an "in" with a particular recruit. If we followed your philosophy, Tennessee would have never landed Tobias Harris.
