Yeah, no way he's a DE in college. It's extremely rare for a HS DL recruit to get smaller between his JR year of HS and 1st or 2nd year in college. 99.9% of the time they are going to get bigger. He'll probably come into 2015 summer pushing 300lb.

Add in Butcher and a couple of solid DE commits to close like Phillips we could have the overall best DL class which is something I have never seen since following recruiting. Hayneworth and Henderson were awesome but this group has potential as a whole to be better, hopefully ;)

Actually, he was at Pearl-Cohn HS in '97 and beating the hell out of Maryville in the state championship game that December... He sat out the '98 season and was a sophomore in '99 when we also played Nebraska in a bowl.

That's right. Won back-to-back in 96 & 97.

Thought Henderson was a redshirt year in 1998? He was at UT 98-2001

Henderson's first year on the field was 99. He was a partial qualifier during the 1998 season which meant he had to sit out that season. He played 3 years at UT (99-01) and as some mistakenly think, he was not in the same recruiting class as Albert Haynesworth. AH was a true freshman in 1999.

While attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Henderson played for coach Phil Fulmer's Tennessee Volunteers football team from 1998 to 2001. At Tennessee, he lined up at left defensive tackle next to Albert Haynesworth. He played in the 1999 Fiesta Bowl, 2000 Cotton Bowl Classic, and 2001 Citrus Bowl. As a sophomore, Henderson recorded 43 tackles and four sacks in seven starts. As a junior, Henderson recorded 71 tackles (21 for a loss) and 12 sacks

Thanks I guess the game he's talking about was the Fiesta Bowl.

Looks like NC is about to have another decommitment which i believe makes 2 4 stars in 2 weeks which should only help us further with tuttle
