I'm not necessarily talking about the in-state kids and I'm not saying these types of offers should become the norm, but it is what it is. It can lock a guy up just in case another doesn't pan out. And if there was full disclosure from the get go then there is no reason to take issue with it imo. I haven't heard anything like that with Bruce, but seems like Woods had/has work to do in order to keep his offer.
Yeah, the Woods situation could be a bit different if in fact he has grade concerns as some have mentioned. I then have no issue if the staff went in another direction. The fact that he continues to visit, continues to look like a UT commitment, and seems to be part of the class(even to the coaches), it leads me to think it's still a situation where Woods gets the work done and is a part of the class. The mistake fans make IMO is basing who is on the chopping block by the number of *'s by their name. Obviously the coaches are not paying much attention to those *'s.
