Without reading through the entire thread is anybody else concerned with the amount of touches he's getting in high school? If it's even close to last year he'll end up with close to 1,000 rush attempts in 3 years
UT's staff loves Rocky Reid. As many other posters have previously stated, Reid doesn't have the most elite offer list because he committed to UT right when his reputation & offer list was beginning to blow up and pretty much shut everything down in his recruitment.
But don't let that fool anybody. If Rocky was currently uncommitted his offer list would be much different. If he happened to decommit today, his phone would be lit up from most major college football programs. He would be a take most anywhere.
UT's staff has a plan and a vision for every single recruit and commit. A lot of UT fans suddenly are wanting to discuss the possibility of dropping current commits because of UT's "apparent scholarship crunch". Naturally these fans are jumping on the lowest rates recruits. That's understandable I guess, but Reid won't be one of them. If Rocky goes elsewhere it certainly won't be the coaches decision.
It's just Rocky & Kamara in this class. UT's staff as well as Kamara both know what the deal is with him. He is big time. He wants to be be a big part of the offense & he will after he learns it. Kamara will be a redshirt sophomore when he begins at UT. He will have 3 years of eligibility. UT fans will be very lucky to see Kamara even use that 2nd year of eligibility. He has lofty goals and will work hard to earn them.
With that in mind, UT's staff knows what they want out of Rocky and what he brings to the table. They see a talented recruit that will wait and learn a year or two behind some extremely talented, more experienced RBs (Hurd, Kamara, Scott) and take over the starting load at RB as an every down SEC RB for multiple years.
Reid is a steal by UT's coaching staff and like other VN members have been stressing is ridiculously underrated by the services.
I don't get paid to evaluate or compare football players, but I've been around football my whole life and personally Rocky Reid strongly reminds me of former Minnesota All-Star & Dallas Cowboy All-Pro RB Marion Barber III.
I personally am excited for "The Barbarian 2.0" to return to the college game as a Vol. UT fans should be happy that Rocky is a Vol & let the UT coaching staff worry about who will and who will not be dropped, instead of bringing up hypothetical situations to which UT goes in another direction. JMO.
I really don't care about anyone else's opinion on Reid, because I've seen all I need to with his numbers/measurables/film.. They're all elite IMO.

I really feel the same way. Maybe some of the teams and players he went against are suspect, but this kid has IT.
Still another year of Highschool, workouts, games and I'm sure he has a notebook of stuff from Coach Lawson to follow and get in killer shape. Rocko will have above average speed to go along with his strength that will blow us away.
He makes great cuts, quick feet, and superb vision. Will be able to break tackles, like a Riggs Jr or that kid from LSU who just got drafted. Jeremy Hill.
I'm definitely excited about his potential.
Idk about his schools schedule, but I do know that they played Havelock in the championship game, so I would assume it's pretty fair competition in his area.
I just can't believe we will have both those backs from the state championship teams. They were all out that game, and will be hardworking, good young men in Orange. Scott is underrated just like Rocky. So exciting
Hope Scott balls out, but I don't see it. He's a great cutter, but doesn't look big enough to run between the tackles or fast enough to be a homerun threat. Paulk looks like a tougher runner and with AK in the fold I think Scott has already been recruited over. JMO, obviously.

My suspicion is that Butch will tell him to sustain some type of minor injury prior to the season starting and then will tell his coach that he cannot take a single snap all season, thus preserving him until his arrival at UT. His coach will be compliant with Butch as are most high school coaches.Without reading through the entire thread is anybody else concerned with the amount of touches he's getting in high school? Scott already recruited over? one of the dumbest post of the year
scott is a stud. Hes about 190lbs now. prob end up playing around 200lbs. Hes built much better than alot of people really think. he will be fine. For some reason Scott doesnt get much respect on this board.
