IMO there is 1 DE spot left and it's his if he wants it. Just comes down to how long the coaches are willing to wait him out. Kid is a huge instate talent. Hope they can lock him up a Vol.
Anyone hook us up with any quotes here?
Top247 DE Kyle Phillips spends weekend visiting Tennessee Vols
Pretty much every coach does it.
Might be true. If you look at the 2014 class, 13 of the top 25 schools in the final top 25 class rankings took less than 25 kids. Some well under 25. I know a lot of things go into a class and it's final #'s, but obviously a lot of schools are choosing to not over sign.
6 of those 13, were SEC schools.
none of those schools had DD doing their recruiting,or lack of, the previous 3 years, had LK run off half a roster the year before that, and inherited a depleted roster... we had to get a bunch of talented bodies in here, for depth, for competition, and for talent at a lot of the positions... then we can go the route of being picky about who we offer...
I was just responding to the comment that almost all coaches do it. CBJ if he signs 20 in 2015, he would have flipped 73 or more of the 85 man roster already. Blaming Dools time is over IMO.
