Absolutely 100% this.
I'm of the opinion that Gibson *could* turn into an outstanding QB but I also want him for the fact that he is an ELITE athlete, maybe the best in the entire class. No one in the world will ever convince me that we couldn't use a player with his skillset after seeing just how slow this team was last year compared to the upper echelon of the SEC (and Oregon).
I am on the "get Gibson" bandwagon. He would be a great addition to our WRs corps. He would be able to best utilize his gift from God-his legs.
True and same here :hi:
If you don't think the kid is a good player Butchna, then just say so. I don't agree with that but it's your opinion and you're entitled to that just like everyone else. Hell, that's what makes VN fun.
Its the nonsense about his character, scared of competition, just wants twitter followers etc. that always pisses everyone off because no one on here knows whether or not it's true and it's just tacky imo. When stuff like that is posted, THAT is when this thread blows the hell up and it turns into a complete dumpster fire pissing match.
Btw, I think you're a good poster and I apologize for the things I said to you the other day. I try not to act like that on here or in real life. :hi:
I agree.
I won't get into what position he will play anymore, becasue quite frankly, I don't care.
The goal should be to get him on the team and decide the position later.
The bottom line is that Butch is not going to change our offense to the Auburn read option for a QB. Butch Jines brought some stud WRs into the program to make the plays with their legs. That is precisely why he recruited and took the commitment of a pro-style QB with some athleticism.
Any QB coming in is going to have to be understand how to read a defense, be patient and allow the play to develop, and get the ball into the hands of the playmakers downfield, and only use the legs as a last resort in the passing game.
Those QBs who are not patient enough to do so, that do not have those fundamentals, and do not have those skills, will play another position.
I do think he's a good player...and raw...concerned if he has the makeup to be what we need at the QB position...he does have another year to grow into it...I got a little cute about some of his twitter announcements, particularly which all-star game he would attend and have questioned why he hasn't attended passing camps to hone his QB skills...fair enough already...trust in Butch usually works out.

I know its not definitive but this article makes me :dance2:
And there is zero proof that he is that guy.
you will never find another post where I say I got my info from a source. But this one time I got to do it. Because your an elite evaluator and was recruited by whoever and you know what BJ is going to do with TG.My source is more liable than the nonsense you post on here. I will not give up a name to prove my source. But he played the at Tn and he knows a lot more about recruiting than you ever thought about. He says TG is being recruited as a QB and QB only and if WR was an option then TG would of already eliminated Tn.he has this to say about QD. He has more to work on than TG does. He never once bashed any of our QBs and he called TG a program changer. He is still in the know with the program and since he played the QB position I will take his word over your or anybody else on here. Everybody on here knows him and I bet they would take his word over you/LV/Burger. He never said he thinks TG ends up at Tn but he said Tn is in very good position with TG and he said this before TG came last week. But you keep carrying on with your nonsense.

shouldn't you be over in the QD thread since he is the answer in your eyes ?
but your saying Tn will not struggle with QD ?
