1. Best case scenario: Gibson signs along with Dormady & Jennings, bringing several highly rated players. Gibson and/or Jennings decide a position change is in their best interest, and all have productive careers.

2. Good scenario: Gibson signs along with Dormady & Jennings, bringing several highly rated players. Gibson is an awesome QB. Dormady is a back up or transfers out. Jennings changes positions or is a back up

3. Lesser good scenario: Gibson signs along with Dormady & Jennings, bringing several highly rated players. Gibson gets frustrated, not able to win the job, and transfers

4. Worst case scenario: no Gibson... Anywhere on the field, no tag-along recruits, and Dormady and Jennings battle it out.

However I add it up, Gibson is a +, IMO

Or MY best case scenario.

Jennings and Dormady at QB. Gibson signs as a WR, bringing several highly rated players, All 3 stick and CBJ signs a top caliber QB in 2016 as well.

Of course as I have stated before, I don't really see how signing TG close to or on NSD will impact the rest of the class much at all. The rest of the class will be locked in long before TG commits. JMO

Well the mention of a "position change" for Gibson in #1 had me thinking you implied him signing at QB. :hi:

Indeed... But I didn't want to get overly specific. I thought "sign & change" got the same result you are implying. Otherwise, I could have had probably 5 more scenarios, but ain't nobody got time for that

Wasn't Tux claiming Josh Malone wasn't coming here and nobody knew what they were talking about? Or am I thinking of someone else?

You are not wrong...that was legendary...it colored my view of him for the longest time...he's really redeemed himself on this thread.

At the time that Brent Alexander told me that about a year ago, that was the truth. We were at the bottom of Josh's list of schools.

Comical that you're still defending this.

The fact is, that Josh was not high on Tennessee till much later in his recruitment. It still took an enormous effort to get him here.

There are two lesson's one must learn in life.

1. Never... ever... ever... ... question anything, that has come from Tux's table.

2. See # 1.

Go speak to Brent himself at JP2. Even ask Josh himself. BTW, Josh's Dad and I went to school together and were longtime teammates in both football and basketball.

Well Tux was wrong for being so definitive about Malones recruitment, but he was right that we were really low on his list, and it was looking pretty unlikely that we would get him.

I think the lesson is more

1. Don't ever count out Butch Jones
2. See #1

^ Wants to sit at Tux's table.

I cant say if I would want to or not. To be honest, Tux has never posted anything that struck me, good or bad. I just found it humorous that people have pointed out that he said JM wasnt coming, then decided to.

Let's be honest, in recruiting, your information is only accurate as it is coming from the recruits mouth. It only takes 1 second for humans to change their mind...

But hey. I say we burn him anyway...
