Realize that we wouldn't have anything to talk about if we didn't engage in non-stop speculation, but this has become stupid. If TG wants to play at Tennessee, he will. If he wants to play QB, he will have the opportunity to earn the chance, just like JJ and QD. As both JJ and TG have other options, if either does not make the cut as QB, they have the option of changing positions rather than changing schools. Since both have a high upside outside of QB, you take them both without question or hesitation. Anyone here that acts like they know which of the three QB *candidates* wins the position is full of crap. To state absolutely that TG will not be QB at UT...before he has committed...before NSD...before the first training camp...is just plain dumb. There are so many things that can (and likely will) change between now and when any of these guys would take their first snaps, it's just goofy to act like you know.

You and I see this exactly the same way. There are a lot of "I called it" wannabes in this thread. TG is a great talent. He may be wanting to wait to commit so he can see how it plays out during his personal football season as well as how it looks with the schools he likes most. He is a HS kid still deciding what he wants to do and what direction to go as a football player. Butch will leave the door open and stay in touch. You can bet he will make room if TG wants to come regardless of position.

You keep repeating that as if it's a response but it's not. If you can rebut Vol8188 do so but if not staying silent makes you look a lot smarter than just claiming everyone who disagrees is too young, too emotional, or just wrong (without giving any rebuttal). The latter, as you're using it, is an argumentum ab auctoritate with the presumption that you're the authority while the other two could be classed as baseless ad hominen attacks. All are logical fallacies.

You do realize that CBJ can not and does not speak about recruits to any media or "experts" right? Anyone claiming CBJ is recruiting Torrance Gibson as a QB or a WR is just guessing. Yes, that includes the "experts". Gibson himself said CBJ told him he was "the QB" , "the man" for CBJ in the 2015 class. Obviously with CBJ taking 2 QBs before Gibson, points to even Gibson's grasp of the situation being questionable.

Both Simmons and Swain had serious doubts about TG on Swain's radio show. They felt he "could" turn out to be a QB. Both said he had a long way to go and his recent "issues" was just going to make it worse.

Why do you keep repeating the bolded part over and over? Gibson was quoted as saying he was around CBJ, ZA and Bajakian the most on his 5 day visit. ZA is probably our top recruiter on the offensive side of the ball so naturally he's gonna be seeing TG on a visit. You're putting entirely too much stock into that imo.

Tommy Thigpen is listed as Preston Williams' main recruiter on 247. Does that mean he will be playing LB? lol:

Busts happen in college football. Gibson could be a bust just as easily as Dormady or Jennings could be too. Gibson and Jennings could be stars at other positions if QB doesn't pan out and that's why I want both to go along with Dormady. I've never said it's 100% that TG stays at QB.

The difference is you speak so matter of factly that TG isn't being recruited as a QB and won't get his shot when everyone else on this board sees through your BS.

It's a common stance taken by folks here on VN. You have to remember that if you think UT will get everyone, your a positive Vol fan and want what's best for UT. If you feel that ANY recruit does not want to be a Vol or that UT would EVER pass on a 4-5* talent your just negative and a troll.
