Nah, are you ever going to get over your man crush for a coach that left us because he couldn't handle pressure from the fans?
You have a gambling problem so we can make a bet on this

He didn't leave because he couldn't handle the pressure. That's not to say he didn't know the fan base was divided. Part of it was for the well being of his family due to a small idiotic part of our fan base. The other was the lack of support from the administration. I don't really know what to tell you if you really believe he left because fans gave him "pressure" or expectation. Thats the nature of the business. I admire the man because when he left, he still spoke highly of the University, fans and administration.
If we do that you'll just purposely not post it on here, but secretly you'll be firing up the NotStoked4Donnie username.
I always said I'd stick with Martin until he proved me otherwise. Well last year did it for me. Yeah I might have jumped back on while he made his little run but then I jumped back off again when he decided to interview at Marquette. Oh but then when he removed his name I was full Zo, I was on my way to the tattoo shop for my Stoked4Zo tat, when I heard about him leaving for Cal. That's when I realized the guy was a horrible coach and would never get it done here. However if he were to come back, I'm gonna see if the deposit I put down on that tat is still good so I can finally get it done.
It's an easy go to for people who disliked him, but it's comical because it shows how clueless they are.
Martin was coming back to Tennessee after the petition, after the questions, after the Sweet 16, and after Marquette....the reason Zo left was because of the new contract offered to him.
He could read between the lines that Hart wasn't willing to buy in long term, and that with 1 bad year he would be fired after the very next season, that's how the contract read. So he did what was best financially and job security wise and he went to Cal where regardless of outcome he is safe for another 3-4 years minimum.
It had nothing to do with not being able to handle the stress of 30k fans signing a petition, the guy fought and beat cancer, that reasoning is a joke.
Now let me be clear, I'm not saying Hart made the wrong move, nobody can say so either way at this point. In 3-4 years we can look back though and should be able to tell if it was the right move or not.
While BTO is much more knowledgeable of UT bball than myself, when Stokes declared for the NBA the closest thing CCM would have had to a post game would have been Cofer. I would have been very pleasantly surprised for UT to have won 20 games without the coaching change. I will also be very pleasantly surprised if UT wins 20 games next season with the coaching change.
:hi:
Who cares how many times I "jumped on and off the Cuonzo" wagon. Half of the fans on the board did the same thing.

Love cancer rationales when it comes to Zo...my wife fought and beat cancer too...then she lost. In between the victory and the end,she lived her life accountable and did things honorable, hence the standing room only attendance at the funeral...a brave fight against something terrible doesn't dismiss personal responsibility in dealing with other people...Zo had a chance to deliver his legacy in Tennessee coaching lore...he failed.
