Agree. It's why I think maybe the staff should've played a bit more hardball with the guys they really wanted to keep, like Cofer. You saw USM do it with Suarez and look what happens, when you release these kids so quick they've got all these schools in their ear plus you. If you don't release them you're keeping them shut off from the other schools and probably increasing your chances of keeping the kid.
I would be disappointed in UT athletics if they didn't release all letter of intents in any sport with a head coaching change. High school kids should have the final say on their college choice and shouldn't be road blocked by the universities IMHO. New coaching staff obviously changes the criteria the recruits used to make their selection.
