With Owens rumored to be right at 6'11" now I would be pushing for that kid, if Cofer or Carmichael still want on in a week and you've got room take them too.

We will likely know of 5 commits by the end of next week. Everything will most likely shake out regarding all of the forwards by then. There is talk of Owens coming by next week as well as Cofer too.

I don't know if CDT wants to use 5 scholarships on bigs at this point (Ellis, McGhee, Owens, Cofer and Carmichael) though. Punter seems like he could literally commit at any time. You know CDT wants a PG (likely Suarez) too. I know Carmichael had offers from Cincy and WSU. Don't know how long CDT slow plays a guy like that. Those 6 scholarships will be gone soon enough. I don't think he's saving any of them by the looks of it.

Yea I only think we are taking 1 of Cofer, Owens and Carmichael.

Ellis would have a spot saved for him, but nobody knows if he's gonna qualify and likely won't know for awhile.

I think McGee, Punter, Suarez and 1/3 forwards are committed by next weekend.

You'll see a scholarship probably held open for awhile for the mystery recruit, and I think you'll see them pursue graduate transfer Chiles also.

Currently, indications are two or possibly three of those mentioned above will commit for CDT by the end of this coming week. It is going to be interesting how Punter and Suarez plays out. Another one mentioned above is considering seriously joining the group. So, if it goes as planned in the best scenario, up to four could be eventual Vols. Things are getting interesting.

I agree with your assessment. It appears now that is the direction it is going.

Looks like Tyndall knows he is gonna have 8 or 9 scholarships available. The Martin era is ending quickly almost an entire new roster next season.

I'm beginning to get the impression that Tyndall thinks it is. He seems to want some guys from JC, here and there etc. on the roster. He doesn't seem to be making very much effort to keep anybody that Martin recruited.

It's a loyalty thing. I understand his thinking here. We just need to keep Richardson and Hubbs.
