HBO's "Game of Thrones"

The way Danerys' champion handled the duel was pretty bad ass

The thing about Jamie is that he possesses at least a few redeeming qualities; brought to light initially in the hot tub scene with Brianne.

The Hound does everything out of self interest; even when saving the Stark girls.

SIAP - this interactive map is awesome. It links to the wiki and has a spoiler control (won't be perfect since it's based on the book). You slide the chapter selector to the last chapter you read (probably about 1/2 through book three (A Storm of Swords or ASOS on the slider))

EDIT - check that - you can use the spoiler control buy episode so everyone should be able to use this.

That interactive map is awesome. Careful though, if you click on locations you can still get spoilers. I clicked on the Capital of Dorne and I saw where it said "Dorne in A Dance With Dragons" which is one of the later books. Obviously I didn't read, but just be careful.

So a girl I know reads the books, and she said you never really find out who Joffrey's killer is. That it's still a widely debated thing among book readers. Without spoiling anything, can any book readers confirm/deny this?

Technically no. But you know who the perps are and who was involved. Especially after episode 3.

In the book, Margery and Joff were drinking from one large glass that was given by Margery's 'step dad?'. They showed it as a gift in the show but not that they both drank from it. Sansa had a hairnet on not a necklace but everything else seem to be the same.

Yeah..the people who did it were both in episode 3. I haven't read the books but I can make a connection. If you can see who is next to the cup when Joffrey grabs it..then of course pay attention to who is getting Sansa out of Dodge..Listen to the widowed queens Grandma talk to her after the death..and then maybe watch season 3 a bit and see how inquisitive she is with Sansa and her treatment at the hands of Joffrey.

That's how I see it.

*Very slight (morely strange episode decision) spoilers*

My friend tells me, in the books, it isn't rape. Between Jaime and Tyrion, they were making some lannisters able to be rooted for. Not sure why they'd give any reason to hate Jaime. Unless they want us to pity his sister for some reason.

*End spoiler thought*

I think Tywin explaining sex right after calling his dead grandson an idiot was one of the funniest and most sardonic things this show has ever done. And I believed every bit of it was appropriate.

She was kissing him so I fail to see the rape angle. It was just morbid rough incest sex, yes means no, etc. Ask any Bammer and they will say the same thing and potentially provide a personal real life example.

Who's to say that Little Finger hasn't formed some sort of Alliance with the Tyrrells?

How so? We know the Queen of Thorns feelings about it from the conversation btw her and Margery - she basically considered Margery's life to be in direct and eminent danger due to marrying Joff.

Conspiring with Littlefinger would have zero benefit I mean. If the Tyrell's wanted Joffrey dead they could have made it happen, they didn't need the help of Littlefinger (who Lord Varys already told the Queen of Thorns is EXTREMELY dangerous and untrustworthy.)

I think the Tyrells are smart enough to know that conspiring with Baelish is the quickest way to get your head removed.

Baelish brought the Tyrells into the fold when Renly died. I imagine that they now have some vested interest in one another's futures. I'm not sure what either one stands to gain yet but I'm sure we will find out soon.

Would love to see some actual movement on the Bran and Stannis storylines tomorrow. Also looking forward to the showdown at the wall.
