HBO's "Game of Thrones"

So moving away from the huge ending of this episode, how about the death of Theon and the creation of Reek.

That bastard Bolton is one seriously malicious dude. Would've loved to see him and Joffrey cross paths.

He's a sick dude but I like him for some reason. He cracks me up. I think Reek has officially lost him mind. It wouldn't surprise me if he turns on his sister when she comes to rescue him.

Another interesting thing about that episode was Bran and the tree. I haven't been a huge fan of his story so far, but man that was creepy. That really creepy sounding voice said:

"Look for me"

"Beneath the tree"

"North"

What in the world was that about? Also afterwards Bran said "I know where we need to go." Did I miss something? Did his vision show him where he was supposed to go? It showed a lot of places.

And Bran has never been able to recall how he fell. It looked as though the tree gave him some insight into what actually happened.

That small clip definitely made the Bran story more intriguing.

So I go to lunch and this waitress hears Red and I talking the GOT. She says she's reading the books and is right about where the show is. Red says really? She says "Ya, I just read where ***** freaked out and killed *****. I said wtf? That has not happened yet!

Damn it!!

The actor who plays him was in Misfits for several seasons. He was a great actor in it as well.

pretty slow episode last night, lots of things being setup.

Looks like Little Finger is the mastermind behind a larger conspiracy to off Joff; will be interesting to see if (and to what extent) the Tyrell's were in involved.

I pretty much knew Sir Dontos was going to get it; he was definitely a loose end.

I guess the Hound and Aria aren't the BFF's we thought they were?

My favorite scene had to be the conversation btw Tywin and Oberyn - didn't see that olive branch coming. Definitely looking forward to Tyrion's trial and the potential showdown btw Oberyn and the Mountain.

Tywin knew he had to try and keep Oberyn on his side. The heir to the throne right now is in Dorne and engaged to his nephew. The end of the Tyrion, Bronn and Pod story sucks too. It has been one of the best parts of the show.

This ^..will be awesome.

It definitely was a slow one but after Joff's death, it was bound to slow down a little bit to allow you catch your breath...You could definitely see lots of things shaping up for the future and any episode where we get to see Danerys is a good one. I love it when she talks in those foreign tongue's. ;)

I was a little upset at the Hound's handling of the situation with the guy that gave him shelter but in the end, I think his explanation makes pretty good sense. Whether we agree with him or not, in his shoes, it's the correct thing to do to ensure that he and Aria have a little spending money going forward.

While it's fun to root for The Hound, he truly is a POS. It's easy to forget that he's not helping Aria and simply sees her as a payday.

anyone else think that was a little out of character for Jaime to do?

I think Jaime is a different character at this point. Everything he knew and took pride in is gone. At this point he's pretty lost I think. I would imagine we'll start seeing a lot of "out of character" things for Jaime.

*Very slight (morely strange episode decision) spoilers*

My friend tells me, in the books, it isn't rape. Between Jaime and Tyrion, they were making some lannisters able to be rooted for. Not sure why they'd give any reason to hate Jaime. Unless they want us to pity his sister for some reason.

*End spoiler thought*

I think Tywin explaining sex right after calling his dead grandson an idiot was one of the funniest and most sardonic things this show has ever done. And I believed every bit of it was appropriate.

That is correct about the rape vs. non-rape thing.

The best thing about Tywin talking about Joffrey being a bad king was the fact that he was doing it in front of his grieving mother.
