I just read tyndall's bio on the southern miss site and I liked it a lot.. He has taken over terrible basketball teams and improved them every year.. That's how it should be.

It's a big ole country brother, not every one listen's to Clay Travis (or even has that available to them). And I would be willing to bet my 104.5, and your 104.5 are completely different stations.

Maybe so, I just heard Travis make this same analogy this afternoon. Pardon me for thinking you were one of his disciples.

I don't live in TN. I have seen his name thrown around this website, but have never seen/read/heard anything he has put out there. From what some on here say, I should be highly offended by you thinking I was one of his disciples. Shame on you!

I like Tyndall, reason is I think Butch Jones is going to be VERY successful here and Tyndall is the guy that is most like Butch. Workaholic, GREAT TEACHER, Really good recruiter, great game coach, experience in the region at Murray St., SEC experience, will tirelessly promote UT brand.

tyndall's team had a nice season last year--though some of the competition was strange (St. Catherine's college, william carey, etc.). White's team gave Southern Miss. one of its worst defeats.

RE Summitt: She should have retired years before she did--the game had passed her by.

RE buyouts: Coaches have been jerking around schools for years by fleeing for other jobs after a couple of years. If there is a trend to make it more difficult to leave via stiffer buyouts, I applaud it.
White's team split with tyndall's.
Tyndall finished with a higher rpi playing a tougher SOS.
Also Tyndall beat UTEP twice and White lost to them.
Just sayin.

People will convince themselves whoever UT gets stuck with was the best guy anyway. That's just what it's all come to....

The spin doctors are doing work now.

"We didn't want that guy anyway".

"Hart was doing a favor for the coach's AD father".

"The guy we are currently courting is better than the one that turned us down".

Etc. etc.

No spin from me, I've personally liked Tyndall better from day one and my posts throughout have been consistent with that.

And others will convince themselves that any UT hire who isn't a pipe dream is a terrible hire. Goes both ways.

Maybe Hart saw them as 1A and 1B? Their resumes are similar. Their backgrounds are similar. They have both won a lot the last 2-3 years. They are both making about the same money at the same type of school. "Sources" have said Hart had reached out to Tyndall early in the process days ago. I mentioned in another post that maybe Hart felt Tyndall was a done deal if he wanted him. Maybe Hart liked White just a bit more and tried to get that done. White asks for quite a bit more than Tyndall so Hart turns his attention to option 1B.

Maybe?

Excellent Post

And some will never accept whoever it is if his name isn't Bruce.

Yeah, those back to back national titles less than 5 years before she retired really weren't worth anything.
