Strong probably did get lucky but he will still point to TB as a reason a good QB should come to Texas and most kids and parents will see that and let it influence them that he can develop QB's. Doesn't matter if it is accurate or not.

Pro-bowl is a joke. Vick averages 55% and around 2,500 passing yards. In the 2000's that's not good at all. The only reason he had a job is because he could run. I honestly hope the guy ends up homeless because he's scum.

Vick was exciting and unique when he exploded onto the scene at VT. Problem was...everyone told him he was exciting and unique....and he stopped (if he ever really started)plying his craft,studying opponents,WORKING,et al....

Great study in retrospect, is that San Diego had the top pick in Vick's class...they traded down for extra picks and selected Ladainan Tomlinson...they picked a QB with similar dimensions and less phenomenal gifts...Drew Brees....they never cashed in due to lack of patience and Philip Rivers...but we know the contrasting career arcs...Brees knew a franchise QB had to stay sharp in the chess game that is the NFL...Vick enabled his easily assembled entourage and relied on his natural talent and had quite an interesting run. Brees will end up a HOF player with at least one SB on his placard. Vick is now able to adopt a puppy.

Great draft for the Chargers, got 2 Hall of Fame players. Unfortunately we didnt give Brees enough time, but he may have just been a better fit in New Orleans. LT is one of the best players of all time, so Id say that draft worked out pretty well.

I don't like Vick but as far as talent and potential, there hasn't been many QBs that have matched him.
