Not saying that is the case, but if he was determined to play QB and you were in good position with two other QB's who may or may not be higher on your board then it's possible. I would rather have the top instate talent and I'm glad he is a VOL. It was just him committing after the other two visited made the thought come to my mind so I expressed it.
I don't think he is. He and Gentry know just like everyone else that JJ will probably red shirt his freshman year to develop. That will give Both Gentry and Gibson a year head on him.
I would like to think we get good enough play out of our current QBs, that any and all we catch this class will be able to RS.
Well if they sign two someone who is already here is probably going to leave. I wouldn't want to RS both simply because you loose two QB's basically at the same time if they decide to stay all four years. Secondly if someone does leave one of our 15' QBs will have to be active because we will need to have at least 3 QB's dressed out just in case of injury purposes.

The nation's No. 2 dual-threat quarterback just finished visiting six schools during his spring break. Those programs were Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee and Florida.
Torrance Gibson will return to Auburn on April 19.
So, after a week of traveling, what programs made the biggest impression on American Heritage (Fla.) Rivals100 member Torrance Gibson? "Probably LSU, Auburn and Tennessee," Gibson told AuburnSports.com.
"It was different things at each one. LSU's business school was nice, their coaching staff was cool. Auburn has a great coaching staff and great football team, great head coach and offensive coordinator. Tennessee needs a big impact player and overall, it was great."
Gibson plans to narrow his entire list on May 5. On April 19, Gibson will be back in Auburn for the Tigers' A-Day game...This weekend, Gibson plans a return trip to Tennessee.
On Monday, four-star athlete Jauan Jennings committed to Tennessee. Jennings was recruited to play quarterback, according to his head coach at Blackman High School.
Gibson isn't worried about competition, but is paying close attention to quarterbacks signed and depth chart situations. "I don't know him," Gibson said. "I'll have to watch his highlights. I'm not afraid of competition. But, other schools may have a better place for me and I'll go there."
Gibson is already diving into the details of each program with only one month before his date to narrow things down.
