Er, no. Is access to public k-12 schools handed out at the "whim" of the state? If schooling was left to private hands, an equilibrium price would emerge that would prevent poor people from sending their kids to school. It is not a right at all. Under state-owned industry, it is a given privilege, which is at the whim of the state-- so by definition it would not be a right.

How can poor people teach their kids to read when books themselves have an equilibrium price that prevents poor people from owning them?Yes. It is given out at the whim of the state. It is not a right. It was in private hands until the state decided to provide it, and it would fall back into private hands if the state decides to relinquish it.
I taught my kids to read. You should consider a bit of self sufficiency some time. Pardon me for not trusting the guy who hasn't worked in five years to design our greater society. Come to think of it, now I understand why you so desperately want everything given to you as a 'right'.
It isn't a right when production is in private hands. A state-owned industry would not price anyone out.
I just make keen societal observations. When I see poor folks oppressed by the price system, I want reform. We have more than enough economic manpower and machinery to supply everyone who works with a good life. There are more than a million vacant homes in this nation, but 600,000 homeless.I really want to know what drugs you're on.
Because I'm not sure if you are overdosing or not taking enough.

The facts, jack:
1) The UE rate in russia was 0%. They found work for everyone.
2) There were no homeless people
3) The price system was planned in a way that ensured that nobody would be priced out of anything.
