It pains you to think Marquette really wanted Zo doesn't it lol
LWS contradicts you, and he has WAY more cred that you'll ever have.
i never said i had any "cred" nor have i pretended to have any "cred". im just a common fan who gets season tickets to basketball and have done so for going on 10 years.....
point is you believe what you want to believe and so do i.....
only smoking gun here is speculation and innuendo.....
I could post a link from the president of Marquette saying they offered Cuonzo Martin and Patrick would still say he wasn't offered the job.

I think he was very interested, but that's just me theorizing. I do know for a fact, though, that Marquette didn't offer him, at all.
Of course they didn't. Nobody ever offers anybody and gets turned down anymore. Offers are filtered through intermediaries and search firms and not officially made until they know what the answer is going to be.
That's because he wasn't offered the job. I'm from Wisconsin and that's about the only other state in which I have basketball connections, although, admittedly, they are getting weaker as I spend less and less time there. Still, I can pretty much say with little reservation that Martin wasn't offered the position. I don't even think it was that close.

They didn't extend a formal offer, much the same way we wouldn't extend a formal offer to Gundy etc in football. You don't want to go around letting it known you've formally offered the job and got shot down by 20 candidates before hiring someone.
The job was Martin's if he wanted it though, and that's the truth.
False. There were three factions battling each other at Marquette and Martin only was the choice of one of them. None of them were part of the Marquette AD. He was not the guy and that's 100% fact.
