UTISME makes a good point, no reason to bash him....

I'm just messin around, but this is not technically a football thread. It is a generic recruiting thread, housed within the Recruiting Forum.

We talk about all kinds of stuff in here. He'll blow a gasket when the soccer talk breaks out again.. :ermm:

Well it does say Recruiting forum Football Talk. Not understanding the bashing. It doesn't matter to me for some inserts since we did make the sweet 16 but there is a Basketball forum as well.

Anyone who reads here regularly knows that this is the "hangout" thread for the Recruiting Forum regulars. Although it is called football talk we talk about a lot of things. Pull the stick out of your butt or ignore this thread.

Since this is the about everything thread - I need your recommendations for Zins, Merlot, and Pinot Noir under $25. The wine thread in The Pub is dead as a door nail. Thanks for your help in advance.

Also - all basketball haters may exit at this time.

I tried 19 Crimes from Australia the other night. Check it out. I think you'll dig it

baby avi?

I showed you a link to all the news released last week and told you a new one for this week will be released tonight... if you dont want to read it, its your fault

It's a lot easier reading the "update" than searching through 40 threads looking for something on a recruit. If he's really interested and wants to know he needs to look at the update. I always check it out.

Great - thanks!

We had a dilemma to solve. The doc recommended the wife have a glass of wine a day to help with heart, vascular, blood pressure, etc. Oh, well. Take one for the team I always say.

Any pinot from Willamette Valley in Oregon will be amazing. Tough to find under $25, but it'll be worth the extra searching.

19 crimes is a red so it should have more resveratrol which should be good for the heart. Very slight hint of sweetness to it. Was really good man. About 20 bucks I think. Spectator had it at a 90 I think

I lived there until 2006. I've only visited twice since then so it may have improved, but when I was there in 2010 it sucked.

That place on 3rd with Jillian's was empty. Almost all the businesses were gone. Beale was fun for a night but still seedy and dirty. None of my friends from college and high school that still live there ever go downtown because it's just not nice. No reason to leave midtown.

I grew up in Memphis but didn't really enjoy downtown until I moved back after undergrad in 2002. The places to go have even changed since then. Instead of Beale Street or even Peabody Place area, the more enjoyable spots now are Main Street (and South Main) and then a few spots on Madison or Monroe. I would only go to Beale before a game at the Forum. I am now married with kids, so maybe my "fun" has changed, but there are some great downtown restaurants. Midtown has them, too. JMO.

That sounds about right on taste. Really appreciate it.

I'm not really worried about the CCM situation. If he wants to be a Vol, I'd offer him a 250 grand a year raise and add 3 years to his deal. If he wants to look at other options I would not hesitate to take my 2-2.5 million a year and go shopping for another coach. Yes, the team did make a small run in the tourney they lucked out getting into. It's not like wins over iowa, umass, and mercer are anything to pound your chest over. It was a decent season IMO and nothing more. My offer would be 250 grand more or I am looking to replace the man.

The interesting thing about this post is that 250k raise for Martin would put him at 1.55-1.6. Yet you said that we could take our 2-2.5 and hire elsewhere. I would love to pay that for a coach, but we won't do it. If Martin stays, I think he gets a raise to around 1.8. JMO.
