Well I've been playing the game now for about a week and a half. I've played all 4 entry level classes up to Tier 2. Mostly US and brit. I have to say the SPG are fun at times, but you have to have coordination with your team. The TD's and nice, but limited maneuverability sucks at times. The mediums are ok. I'm sure they will get better but right now they aren't much stronger than lights but give up WAY too much speed. I've fallen in love with the light tanks, I love being a scout. I've had a blast in the Tier 3 us lt M3 Stuart. The only down side is at T3 match making starts putting you up against tier 5's. A tier 5 heavy will SMOKE YOUR BUTT.

Ok, who ever set up these tech trees must have been drunk. You work your way up a tree expecting to go from tier 1 to tier10 in the same tree. You know start at British t1 medium, take it all the way to tier 4 only to find out there is no tier 5 medium it skips to tier 6 and that is the tier 6 medium tank is in the LIGHT tank tree. Medium Tier 5 starts heavies. So, now I have to go up that tree just to continue as a medium.

I am going to wait for this to come out on the 360 this summer before I try it out. It will be free to play as well.

I just started doing the beta for their new game World of Warplanes. That one seems pretty good as well so far. It is still in beta and they don't have everything fully implemented yet.

World of Warplanes and WarThunder are very similar is what I've been told and Im pretty sure they are both still in Beta..Both good games, especially for free!

Now what will be really interesting is the game they are about to alpha test, World of Warships. I've always been a naval history nut, and I've yet to find a "quality" game. I hope this one pans out. The idea of steaming a couple Iowa class Battleships into a Japanese fleet and blowing them away rocks.

Do you know when they are going to start Alpha on that because I like just about all them kind of games.Warthunder is suppose to implement tanks and ships too over time, don't know when but it should be fun.

All I've heard was soon, but I hadn't had much time to really read much into it yet. I tend to think maybe by the end of summer, and then maybe a release late next year. If I understand right WoWP went to closed beta late last year, and is starting open beta Tuesday. One thing I am disappointed about with WoWP is that there will be no player controlled heavy bombers. They plan on eventually making escort type missions using AI heavies, but no player based. I do like the mix of Fighters, fighter bombers , and ground attack.

You should really play Warthunder if you like bombing and destroying ground targets.I'm pretty sure the flight models and specs of the planes are real close to accurate too.

Wow. There was no immediate feedback and I rarely visit the game forum so I forgot about this thread. I'm glad y'all are enjoying WoT. If you ever want to platoon, look me up....salutethehill. I usually play enough each night to get the 2x xp.

My garage:
Tier V - US M24 Chaffee - LT - Love this tank, lots of fun, doesn't earn good credits.
Tier III - US M2 Medium - MT - Eh, it's ok. I have it to platoon with my 9-year-old son.
Tier V - US Ram II - MT - Premium - Great RoF, makes decent credits, great for training crew.
Tier VII - US T20 - MT - Love this tank, great gun, low profile = hard to hit.
Tier VII - US T25/2 - TD - Good view range, decent gun but stay hidden away (slow turret rotation, bad armor).
Tier V - German Pz.Kpfw.IV - MT - Eh, grinding up the VK line.
Tier V - German T25 - MT - Premium - Great credit earner/crew trainer...ok tank.
Tier VII - French AMX1375 - LT - play as a TD, will circle you to death, grinding up to the mother of all tanks, the Tier X BatChat.
Tier VIII - Soviet T44 - MT - prob my favorite medium, good combination of speed and gun
Tier VIII - Soviet IS3 - HT - BL9 gun is great, great turret armor, good speed for a heavy
Tier VIII - Soviet SU-14 - SPG - Terrible mobility, terrible armor...but holy cow the 203mm B-4 delivering 1850hp of damage...wow.
Tier VI - Chinese Type 58 - MT - Another solid medium

I haven't gotten as much play time as I'd like, but I've made a decent dent in the tiers, I just can't keep from spreading my play time around between too many tanks.


Tier III - US M3 Stuart LT: Not a great tank, but a fun little speedster for low tier fights
Tier IV- US M5 Stuart LT: Nice gun on the tank, finishing up my Chaffee grind.
Tier IV- US M3 Lee MD: I hate this tank, but gotta do it to get my M4 and heavies.
Tier IV - US M8A1 TD: Not a bad TD looking forward to next levels
Tier V - US- M7 MD : Nice little medium, not much armor but good gun and fast.
Tier IV - US M37 SPG: Eh not bad after 8.6, but not as much fun as used to be.
Tier IV - Brit Matilda MD: Love this tank, Good armor and great gun, just slow as Christmas
Tier V- Brit Crusader LT: The only Brit Light tank that doesn't suck. This one is pretty good and I'll keep it even after I get the next one. Only reason I went this line was to continue up the brit Mediums.
Tier III- German Pz.Kpfw.1 Ausf.c LT: Decided to experiment experiment with the german light line since I hear it is so good.
Tier IV- German Strumpanzer II SPG: Not a bad arty piece , has a nice HIGH angle shot to hit behind cover.
Tier III- USSR SU-26 SPG: This gun ROCKED before the nerf in 8.6. With a fully moving turret and good angle this was fun to play. Now it blows chunks.

Picked up a new tank today
Tier V- Brit Churchill I Heavy: Not bad so far, it's nice being able to take some damage and not get 1 shotted. Surprisingly this is FASTER than the medium that proceeds it.
