'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

ESPN? Those morons have us at #18 in team rankings. I wouldn't believe anything they commented on.
Rivals currently has us 8 and 247 has us at 10. If we somehow do land ZE, we'll be at least #7 on Rivals.
Not a bad class boyz, not at all.

ESPN rankings suck. There’s no debating that, but adding Evans will likely boost us into top 10 territory as he is a top 20 player in their rankings. Oklahoma is #9 I believe and they have 9 ESPN300 commits, Evans would be our 9th as well. Bottom line, this is a consensus top 10 class with Evans and a damn good one without him.

If you're talking about a financial aid agreement, that's not binding to anyone until classes are attended. In the past, it's been reported that some guys signed those with multiple schools. Attending classes is the big deal here.
Just an SEC thing. Callahan and another mod both said it is a thing. Tifwiw:

15.01.2 Eligibility of Student-Athletes for Institutional Financial Aid. (a) A student-athlete who has signed an SEC Financial Aid Agreement with a member institution and is eligible to receive the athletic scholarship on the institution’s first day of classes of the academic year specified on the financial aid agreement, but who does not enter that institution or who does enter and withdraws from that institution before fully completing his/her first semester or quarter (except when the recipient of an athletic scholarship award enters military service before enrolling in the awarding institution and remains in military service for a period of eighteen months or more), shall not be eligible to receive an athletics grant-in-aid during the student-athlete’s first two years in residence at the second SEC institution

So, what exactly does that mean?

Sorry, I'm dumb.

lizards have zero rb's committed. Mullen is a freaking goof. If we don't win the East this year the worst we land will be 2nd. Do not believe the uf hype, they lost a TON of players across all positions. I fully expect to whip their butts this Fall.

Man alive is this some wishful thinking. Florida and Mullen have an outstanding class, addressed every position except RB (but landed a consensus 5* transfer in RB Lorenzo Lingard a few weeks ago), finished in the top 7 or 8 on EVERY recruiting service. The D-line haul and the DB haul is among the best ever at UF, certainly since the Meyer days. Mullen also added great players at WR and signed the best LB in Florida in 5-star Derek Wingo. Oh, and added two other consensus 5* players via transfer which you won’t see in the rankings.

The only disappointment today was losing safety Tae Williams to Miami. That one hurt because most thought he was a lay-up to Florida. UF wanted Beckwith too, but being honest, that would have been nothing but greed on UF’s part as they’re loaded at TE. Kyle Pitts is the best TE in America and Keon Zipperer is a stud who’s next in line. Congrats to UT on Beckwith, he’s a stud.

Regarding RB, Florida brought in consensus 5* transfer Lorenzo Lingard which more than offsets missing on Jahmyr Gibbs.

Can’t really use Lingard since he hasn’t done ****.

Sounds like wishful thinking on your part. I have seen a pretty good 9-3 or 10-2 team at Florida, but nothing thats gonna threaten to win the conference.

Sure you can because NONE of these current commits have done **** at the college level. There will be busts in every class.

Here’s what I know about Lingard. At the highest level of HS football in Florida, he was unstoppable. In his only game played at Miami, he was unstoppable including a 60+ yard TD run. He’s got just as good a chance to be great as any player in any class today.

You do realize Florida has a good shot at being preseason favorites to win the SEC East, right? There will be plenty of time to debate in the off-season but I sense some denial about where UF is at as a program right now.
