Scar Symmetry, Nevermore, Nile, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Insomnium, Solution .45, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, et al. Not a djent fan but Disperse from Poland is pretty cool too

Been an Amon Amarth fan since the beginning. I LOVED Opeth in the mid 1990's. After Still Life I gave up on them.

If an alien showed up on earth asked me what rock was, I'd show them this:

And, of course, Saigon Kick. Greatest British metal cheese band of all time

Huge DevilDriver fan (got to Dez and Jeff after a show over here, was MOST awesome). Lot of respect for Lamb Of God, IWABO, 5FDP, Arch Enemy (I'm in lust with Angela Gossow's growl), Mastodon, Behemoth, and early Slipknot (before they became SlipSour).

I picked up a CD at random in the metal section of a store in Germany, and I play it every day in the car on my way to work. Band called Illconceived. If you see it, get it. They're good.

If we go old school classic rock I don't think much can top Bad Company. One of the few super groups that actually worked, and damn did they work. I've never heard a song by them I haven't liked.

I didn't care for the stuff they put out minus Paul Rodgers. Other than that I agree.

Eh, to me it's like when Fuel got their second lead singer (or maybe it was the 3rd? I'm not for sure anymore). He had good new songs, but singing the old ones just wasn't the same.

But I have yet to hear a version of Shooting Star I don't like by anyone. That's got to be one of the better songs if the period.

Speaking of, one of my favorite songs of all time here

Excellent selection with almost full discographies in my personal collection of all of those bands.

Old Hypocrisy/Opeth/Darktranquillity (1998 or earlier), ATG, Dying Fetus, Carcass..my all time faves probably. Newest Dying Fetus album crushed.
