As stated above, it tends to get old with a player that's cramping up that gets the clock/offense stopped and back in two plays later.

Minimum of a quarter to sit. The purpose of a HUNH offense is to wear out a defense. You want the clock stopped? Call a time out.

If you're referring to the App St. game look at the down & distance of the injuries. They weren't always in UT's favor where the HUNH would have helped. Some of them were 3rd and long.

No, this is specific to all CF games as far as I'm concerned.

That explains 8 to 10 minutes of a half an hour or more.

Probably more than that. College football is pretty relaxed on the halftime. The NFL is pretty spot on.

But that still leaves about 15-17 minutes. The college refs are also pretty bad about stopping the clock when it shouldn't be stopped.

I've never understood why they need the head ref to run over to the booth on every review. The ones that are so blatantly wrong, just have the replay official buzz down the correct call and announce and move on.
