Stallings was a defense oriented guy, but boosters were tired of winning games 7-3, 10-7, etc. (also losing to UF) and as you say made life miserable for him. The truthful part of leaving to spend time with his family was that Stallings had a son with Down syndrome and he probably did have limited time with his son. He wrote “Another Season” about his son. Good guy IMHO.
Agree he was a good guy. I saw him watching the TAM band parade on the way to the stadium in College Station, last time we played there. Obvious the love he had for his son. Still, he couldn't have stayed if he wanted to.

You know good and well it's out of control.

Being allowed to make money for a jersey with your name on it is fine, but your pay is in the form of a scholarship to a major university. A degree that can give you life long income.

NIL is wrecking wrecked college football.
