Fox has picked up 4 New Dramas and 2 new comedies today, Ordering dramas Prodigal Son, Deputy, neXt and Filthy Rich to Series along with comedies Outmatched and animated series The Great North!

The mass pickup of new drama series at Fox, which only ordered two new hourlong shows last year, is not good news for the network’s bubble dramas, Lethal Weapon, The Passage and Star. (The Gifted already has been canceled, while midseason drama Proven Innocent has been presumed dead for a while.)

Fox’s sixth drama pilot, Tom Kapinos’ Lovestruck, is not going forward at the network. But the show, whose first season takes place over the course of single night at a wedding, reportedly had tested well and has been well received within 20th Century Fox TV, which is expected to shop it elsewhere, similarly to its 2018 Fox pilot Mixtape, which was eventually picked up to series by Netflix.

Have you watched it lately? Its damn good entertainment. Since they soft rebooted the show a couple of seasons ago when a couple of the actors (Grace Park, Daniel Dae Kim) walked off the show because they wanted equal pay as series lead Alex O'Loughlin it got so much better with the two young actors & characters they replaced them with.

More ABC Renewals

ABC has picked up the following for another season the Nathan Fillion police drama The Rookie (Season 2) and comedies Fresh Off the Boat (Season 6), American Housewife (Season 4), Bless This Mess (Season 2) and Single Parents (Season 2).
