Recruiting Football Talk VII

Not doubting you, but where is the evidence we have the premier NIL? Ole Miss may have an argument there...Double digit millions just for football.
I posted a video by the leading UGA football coverage guy saying we were. He also publicly said UGA was having to scramble for funds because they were getting low. Others have already reported UA had to pony up more for Deboer because Saban was getting them all a discount. Insiders that post here have told you all that Ole Miss went all in with their funds this year. We went all in on Nico. Everyone has to parse their funds no one has an unlimited budget. Miami, TX, and A&M have a couple of huge boosters bankrolling most of theirs. We have the best multilevel, multichannel, multisource operation in college athletics. People will catch up, but we have been leading. USC's Riley just spoke about this, too. It is everywhere.

Be a nice pickup.

Did any of you read where Deion was doing a big-budget dinner to try and raise funds? It was very public and offered chances to sit with him and his kids, players, and coaches. 20K a table type stuff.

Do you know who does not have guys we promised top-dollar walking o..UT..???......The good guys

Three years probation with a fine and no scholarship losses or postseason restrictions. Each coach (excluding Harbaugh) involved has a one year show cause and all three are already with the Chargers. Bated breath awaiting the righteous outrage from talking heads on this one. ๐Ÿ˜

Tyler Baron portal news may be fake. A Twitter post this morning had 5 OL and 1DL from Louisville to the portal. Poster removed it and said he received bad information.

I thought he only corrected the OL info. Oddly Lane thanked him.......

the same Lane that recruited Barron.

Abhorrent, huh? By what scale?

The WNBA players are making a FAR higher % of the revenue they produce than the NBA players. Maybe the NBA players need pay raises, come to think of it. What's worse than abhorrent?
Not sure how you miscalculated. Maybe because there are only 12 WNBA teams. Have to keep that in mind.

The NBA's player union has guaranteed the players at least 53% of the revenue.

Fwiw this made obvious sense to me from the go. Just consider overhead. OH is easily covered with 10 billion dollars. Plenty left over for 53% labor rates. Especially if you can get municipalities to constantly foot CAPEX bills...

Meanwhile $60 million leaves little room to cover OH. When the league is already in the red...and covering OH expenses is simply required...you're just asking owners to lose even more. NOW this does work in some leagues, such as Russian womens' pro ball where billionaires don't mind losing money to have winning teams. And maybe some owners will come along in the states for CC...and eventually turn it into a profit. But as of this time, the math doesn't math for those looking to profit off the league franchises.

Bluster, promise and under deliverโ€ฆall with the media apologist umbrella. Repeat as necessary. Expect a five star defection every season before he bails.

You know what would be nice though? If those who constantly drone that our NIL needs to be higher would pay attention to how many players we chose not to pay actually did worse elsewhere. I'm sure there are some teams willing to overpay, but it appears that in the majority of cases we let them walk over money it was the right move. They thought too highly of themselves and we upgraded.

Maybe...just maybe...we actually do have competent leadership throughout our programs.
BVS prevents most from believing that last sentence. All those years of incompetence, there's going to be an adjustment period. Be patient.
