got sick,major surgery,missed the bama game still recovering.

nothing will come of this providing we didnt buy the gas.

its just payback for lane not playing nice w/ the other coaches in the league.like it or not they have paid their dues and still weld a large stick.

she should say something but you know he wont unless its something bad. its UT against the world and this is the type of attitude that the players and coaches need to carry around with them everyday. chip on the shoulder and make everyone in their way pay

thanks man,

had laser surgery to remove a cyst/tumor (turned out to be a cyst) thank you lord!

did have an osama type screw up the surgery and ended up gutting me like a hog,20 inch incision took out a third of my pancreas and snatched out the spleen while he was in there.

ill give lane props,he did a heil of a job w/ jc and if anyone needed a turnaround,it would be jc

i dont really see anything coming out of all this other than negative press and maybe losing a couple recruits.

Exactly, he's just throwing stuff against a wall and seeing what will stick at this point. "But they had tons of secondaries.....Their commissioner had concerns with their recruiting practices......Their hostesses are pursuing recruits off campus." I see why Meyer and Thamel see eye to eye; scum cut from the same mold.

In all seriousness, if you are on the level about the surgery I hope that all is well and that the prognosis is good.

Anything less than having Kiffin's head on a plate over this NYTimes article becomes a failure on behalf of those who launched it. If there are no dots to be connected from Orange Pride to Kiffin, then the issue becomes a mute point. Kiffin will be able to go to recruits and parents and show how UT is being hoiunded because they are known to be on their way up. Kiffin and crew are very experienced and successful recruiters & know the rules, the orange helicopter dropping off chicks at HS games for orgies at the local Motel 6 will not be connected to the University of TN or it's athletic department. I'm not saying that there is no UT orange helicopter dropping off chicks for orgies with high school football players, as in alternate universes this is surely occurring. But in this universe, that ain't happening, and the athletic department and Orange Pride are not involved in this sort of thing. Now Bammer's people they use to escort athletes around may be doing stuff like that, but they use a crimson 'copters is the rumor.

I completely disagree. The article has done it's damage and cast the program in a negative light, anything positive that comes out to this point forward won't matter to some people because there is doubt to the integrity of the program in their minds. If you're a parent and your kid is considering two schools and one has these questions surrounding it, which are you going to choose? I'm not saying this will damn our recruiting or anything but it will be a consideration in the minds of every parent and recruit for at least the next few years even if the NCAA finds nothing.

The thing that makes this seem so fishy is LSU is being investigated for paying a player and hardly a peep from anyone. Their AD fired a coach over this yet UT is the center of attention in the NYT.
