As long as we are dreaming, how great would it be to bring Jason Whitten (VFL and a future HOF) to show them how you really play the TE spot. GLORY!:dance2:
Who wouldn't want to learn from the master?
Nope. Neither was Carvin or Banks or any of the studs that we never heard of thatll be in this class by February prior to JP being named coach. No fair-minded fan willing to give this coach a chance can be disappointed with what hes done in less than 2 weeks. Looking forward to see whats coming down the pike between now and February
Most TEs get under utilized in college. Witten had 67 catches his last 2 seasons at Tennessee. Here are some other all-time NFL great TEs and their catch totals their last 2 collegiate seasons....
Greg Olsen - 71
Tony Gonzalez - 81
Rob Gronkowski - 75
Here are 2 of the best current TEs in the country now,
Mark Andrew Oklahoma - 89
Hayden Hurst - 89
While I agree that Witten couldve gotten more targets and that Tennessee historically just hasnt used its tight ends to maximum efficiency by any stretch, Wittens catch totals in college werent way out of line with some of the other better top collegiate TEs. Even when compared with the 2 current players, the 22 catch difference equals less than one more catch per game over 2 seasons. Just sayin.
