I don't believe there are any rules on fans contacting through social media. When you give them money, free tickets, etc. then it becomes a problem. Someone on here may be able to clarify.

This is an article from the Oklahoman in 2013 that states that it is actually against the NCAA rules for fans to contact recruits to get them to come to their school. It also goes on to say that it is mostly not enforceable due to the volume of social media. I don't know if anything has changed over the last couple of years.

Depends on where the donation is to. If you receive tickets or donate to the athletic fund, the NCAA considers you a booster and contacting a recruit via the Internet is an impermissible activity. If you just contribute to the university, you aren't considered a booster.

Completely agree - if he signs early, I think it means UT is out. If coaches can convince him to wait, that would be a sign of optimism.

This is my "spot". Rutledge Falls, between Tullahoma and Manchester. Some places 'talk' to ya...this one captures me and has since I was 4 yrs old. From the Lady of the Falls bronze sculpture to graciousness of the land owners allowing the public to continue to visit...it's been magical to me.

I agree Sara, no one is going to pull their offer from him and he will have a chance to evaluate (if that's what he wants) more thoroughly anywhere he might decide to go ... and signing that early doesn't look good for us imo ...

Yeah, if I were his parent, I would encourage him to wait it out. He can go to any school in the country...sit back till spring and see how things turn out. I would have thought players to sign early would be players nervous about possible offers being pulled...NO chance with this guy.
