Long time coming. It leveled me up when I was down. Now I'm up and it's leveling me down. Thanks man.

I will begrudgingly take them if I know I’m too far down. But I hate those stupid little pills. They just make me fuzzy and numb. I’m much sharper without them.

I agree. It's just wide eyed nothingness. No elation or exuberance. It has robbed me long enough. Served it's purpose, but it should not be a security blanket when you don't need it. Deal with the downs and enjoy the ups. Life man, life!

Yeah, you don’t really feel any genuine emotion when you’re on them. Better to just learn to deal with the peaks and valleys yourself. Life isn’t all bad.

It's not supposed to be all good. The bad can seem unbearable. It has made poetry and music lucrative endeavors. I believe bad times are challenges. I can say that now. Whether self inflicted or out of the blue, the way you deal with adversity is crucial to your ability to enjoy the positives in life.

Just gotta keep breathing. That’s all there is to it.

Gordon Sumner used to self inflict adversity in his life just to be inspired enough to write music. Sadness is the most powerful of the human emotions. It conjures up the palest primal gritty guttural corners of the soul. Those who handle it the best have a pathway for its release. A creative conduit. Those who don't have to chip away at it while trying not to let it ruin their lives.

Sadness? f*** the Patriots. I mean... really. F***em.

I don’t want to receive a warning, or the boot, for stating my true feelings about the Unpatriots, so I’ll just mirror your comments....

Saw where you said you’re in Medina, I’m in Jackson for the weekend (home for me, born and raised).

Born there. Memphis to Humboldt. Humboldt High graduate. 88. You?

JCM, but 15 years behind you.

Actually, I grew up in the Beech Bluff area in east/southeast Madison County. Went to UT and spent nearly a decade in the East TN area. Currently live in the panhandle of FL, 30 mins from Destin, but will end up back in God’s country at some point.

Word. My big bro lives in Pensacola. Seen the blue angels like 5 times. I know some dudes from your area. Let's just say they aren't the most upstanding of individuals. Aiders and abettors in my adventurous days.

I'd tell you to drive over here and drink with me, but the roads are slicker than a porn stars butthole.

Went to 731 (by the theater and Lowes) until halftime. Came home and watched until 35-7, now I'm scrambling for a funnel and PGA.

It was a nice ride from Corinth in last night. McNairy County was a breeze, but as soon as I cleared Finger (or Fanger, as us locals say), ish got real! A solid sheet of ice. My wife has an AWD, so we didn't miss a beat, but treacherous nonetheless. On the way to Snookum's for supper tonight, the roads on the southend were still rough.

*Edit*

We spend a lot of time in Pensacola. I've seen the Blues many times myself; in fact, twice this past year (beach and base shows).

Went to 731 once. They don't serve Guinness. So my wife said we gone. She's a beer snob. Used to waitress at the flying saucer downtown Memphis. Rhodes poli sci graduate. No arguing with her at all.

So Squints, where are you guys settling in Tennessee?

When we move back?

That will depend on where the job market leads us, but most likely somewhere from Nashville and westward. Have no desire to live in Memphis, even though it's a great city and has the best food in the state. Anyone who doesn't like Memphis BBQ is crazier than a s***house rat!

If I wore glasses, I'd wear those.

We would love to relocate to Nashville. My wife has that job possibility but I don't. I went to U of M as well as mtsu. Worked in Nashville while in school. Love it!
