'25 NC OT David Sanders

Tennessee could easily win 10–11 games in the Big 10 every year.
Could and should. Caveat is when we had these incompetent bastards in the AD that basically cratered the program we couldn’t hire a competent coach then that could beat the likes of Vandy and Kentucky on a regular basis. Our administration basically fell asleep at the wheel and let a top ten program fall to irrelevance.

Tennessee would love to have offensive lineman David Sanders back in that weekend and we believe that to be a possibility. Sanders announced that he will officially visit Nebraska this weekend which seemed to come out of left field. Everybody we speak with believes that Tennessee and Ohio State have separated themselves from the group with Clemson fading over the last little bit.

Of all the schools we are up against, in NIL. OSU is prob one im most concerned with.

They seem to have NIL figured out.

Anyway, is what it is.
Hopefully proximity, SEC and relationships will win the day if the money isn't exactly even.

He's going to/already has a HEFTY offer from us so can't imagine there would be a massive difference in NIL anyway.

Come on - recruiting isn't hard:

It's just predicting the choice of unpredictable 18 year kids where some stick to their word, some like being misleading, others change their minds 100 times, and some straight lie. All the while we sift through that on a bulletin board with people that like to formulate educated guesses, some like to purely troll, and some actually have credible insider information -- but they'll never be trusted because they take an 18 year olds word which can change on a moments notice. See -- easy as 2 + 2 = 5. He's a Vol.

From Rivals:

Ohio State isn’t going to sit back and just let the most talented players in the country end up at other powerhouse programs so it shouldn’t have been a huge surprise that it got Sanders back on campus for another unofficial visit before the bulk of his official visits begin next month. Sanders really wanted to get a better feel for the coaching staff, scheme and environment in Columbus after already visiting for a spring practice earlier this offseason.

Sanders explained to me just how big of an impact this trip was for the Buckeyes and it is clear they are one of his top contenders and they have serious staying power. Ohio State is slated to get his final official visit but it could be tricky to keep momentum until he’s back on campus. Sanders is taking an official visit to Nebraska this weekend followed by official visits to Clemson (May 31), Georgia (June 7), Tennessee (June 14) and Alabama (June 18) before making it back to Ohio State on June 21.

Yeah. I would rather he not make it to Ohio State for that official.

We should get the money even, then still have proximity, SEC, and relationships in our favor.

Let’s make that the plan.

It’s harder than ever as far as calling where kids will go bc they’re telling every program what they want to hear. The kid that went to Colorado last year straight up lied to several staffs and lead them along until he committed. A lot these kids which were in “good shape” for have had commitment vids filmed and in the can already when they had a change of heart.

Not necessarily directed toward that one kid, but Idk if most are telling every program what they want to hear and intentionally lying.

It’s like saying Mookie Betts lied when he told Serrano at 11:35 he was coming to UT. Then 15 mins later his offer was upped by $300k and changed the balance of his options.

A lot of fluid factors in recruiting. The Seaton kid straight lied to several staffs up until he committed to Deion

Who is Seaton?

In all serious that was one bonkers recruitment. Not sure if it was Deion’s or his plan to troll all those staffs/fanbases. If he enters the portal, not sure I’d want him here unless the staff has a change of heart. Think he burned bridges though.
